For the past seventeen years, Walter Finely has been a permanent fixture in the Hamptons of Long Island. Not only has he had such great influence in the Hamptons, but his sound has reached to many venues in Manhatten as well.
Walter Finelys career began when he was discovered by the owner of the Polo Club of Oakdale. After hearing Walters voice quality he was offered a entertainment position in Quag at Dockers. This initial position led to his discovery by the entertainment industy of the Hamptons. He began to sing and compose original works at The Beach Bar of Hampton Bays, where he was a consistent entertainer for seven years. Walter still makes guest appearances at The Beach Bar to this day.
Although Walter consistently performed at The Beach Bar he also entertained at many other venues including CPI, Oceans in Amagansette, Stevens Talk House, The Bath and Tennis Club, Tierre A Mar of West Hampton, LA Round Club of West Hampton Beach, Port Jazz of Port Jefferson, and the Drivers Seat of South Hampton. His sound then reached out further to Evelia Lounge, Seasons 73, The Bitter End, The Lions Den, The Bottom Theatre Room, Bleeker Street (West Village) and many corporate/private affairs. Walter also performed in Vail, Colorado, Florida, and Philidelphia.
Walter Finleys creative influence is not limited to live performances. He has also been employed to perform in Television Commericals such as Panteen Shampoo, New York State Lotto, and Tommy Hilfiger. To this day Walter continues to enhance venues with his live performances.
Walter Finley is an acoustic singer/songwriter, and entertainer whose talents encompass a full range of musical styles. Covering the popular music of the 60s on to the present day as well as scores of moving original music. All he performs transcends from his heart, captivating audiences of all ages through his unique vocal expression. His stage presence is emotionally charged, yet relaxed and fluid.Although he is a solo artist, his presence fills the room as if he were a full ensemble. He is truly the new age troubadour of today. This must see entertainer is truly an experience to embrace. Walter is currently working on cutting his first CD which will be available in the near future
