Like so many bands, WAMBOT's origin began in a basement, where four instrumentalists converged in writing/playing music to win a highschool "Battle of the Bands". Despite the band's lose in the competition, WAMBOT'S lead singer Verner Lofstrand recognized the obvious potential the foursome held together.
Less than two years later, Verner Loftrand (vocals), Keenan Kirk (guitar), Bobby Dawson (bass), and Steve Saunders (drums) have compiled WAMBOT's sound into a distict style that continues to impress. Power-pop saturated sound complimented with heavy punk riffs and witty lyrics mold together to shape "radio ready" tracks. Yet WAMBOT's most lethal weapon comes in the form of creative humour. Fighting for a spot among the mass pool of up and coming artists, realizing the importance of articulative hilarity comes in handy.
The band currently has a demo EP out consisting of 5 tracks and are currently in the process of coming together to produce another.
