Bio

Warren Britt has always been the type of person to earn what he is after. It makes the experience of actually achieving the goal a lot more meaningful and definitive.

Raised in Brooklyn, New York in a seperated two parent home Warren Samuel Britt adapted to expressing himself through poetry. A natural bond with words formed and coincided with his love of Hip-Hop and thorugh a lot of his favorite Hip Hop artists such as LL Cool J, Keith Murray, Busta Rhymes, NaS, 2Pac, he began to transfer his love of words into rap songs.

Getting heavily associated with Hip-Hop at the age 12.,He constructed his first rhyme in the back of his Grandfather's 1984 Oldsmobile in September of 1996 at age 12, and from then on it was all he wanted to do.

In Junior High School he learned how to work songs from parodies about sexual encounters that never took place, but more or less making a mockery and having fun through other peoples music.

But it was in High School that he would take his craft more seriously joining in the Lunchroom Freestyle Cyphers and Battles he became somewhat popular among his Canarsie High School peers. So much that on December 14, 2002 he released a mixtape titled "THE ILLOSOPHY" that he distributed amongst his friends in class. Since then THE ILLOSOPHY has managed to find itself in various parts of the map such as London, Liverpool, The Netherlands, Austrailia, and all the way back to the United States of America.

During that time promoting this tape Warren had lost his motivation and love for writing songs taking an indefinite hiatus away from music to pursue "more realistic goals". He ended up finding a job with a Banking Investment company and being too busy to focus on music.

But the power of music can not be denied. As he found inspiration in The Foreign Exchange album Connected, he once again began writing music while at his job to pass the time.

A few weeks later after being let go from work for reasons unknown. A childhood friend of Warren's convinced him to give it another shot. And with that hwebegan hitting up Various Open Mics across New York City, including The Nuyorican, @MoreBondfire @ The Bowery Poetry Club, End Of The Weak, and Free Da Mic.

Soon after he would go to work on his first offering @TheMethLab which symbolized as introduction and a thank you to New York's Underground Hip Hop Scene.

A Year later after a bevy of guest appearances, road trips, and performances, he would offer a middle finger of sorts to the same Underground Hip-Hop Scene he once thanked, that being THE BRITT ISH IS COMING EP.

Warren paired with The MC Faceman and seeked to put out an album he felt like the NY Scene had been a bit too close minded to put out yet. He worked on a fair balance of party records and introspective songs to fairly describe who he is and what he stands for.

He is heavy at work on his debut record The Art Of Warren and with a few side projects on the side, he's definitely not losing motion on any of his goals.
