Bio

WARRIOR is a straight-ahead hard rocking band that picks up where real meaningful rock left off and adds new twists, excellent hooks, intricate leads and heart-wrenching lyrics about our lives with and without Christ. Mike Goodnight (vocals/bass), Keith Coleson (drums), and Tad Donley (vocals/guitars) have donned their armor, war paint, selected their weapons. They will rock you from your CD players to the stage!

Tad Donley, a Californian, fought low self-esteem, drugs, alcohol and sex throughout his life. The nationwide success of his band, Venus, in the early 90’s finally came to a halt. Tad needed help. God led Tad to recovery through rehab and a brand new life with Jesus.

Mike Goodnight’s rough biker’s life and penchant for taking risks led to his death. He was found dead hanging from a tree over a street, a bad prank. An out of body experience occurred when he saw the paramedics while they tried to revive him. He felt God’s hand on his shoulder, and heard God saying, “It’s not your time”. God was persistent, and Mike finally gave his life to the Lord.

Keith Coleson had a church upbringing while being on guard in his home. In his teens, he gave in to sex and alcohol. At 18, Keith moved out and partied- sex, drugs & rock-n-roll. In 1991, he had a son, and he stopped living in the fast lane. Now he’s a solid and mature person with an unyielding faith in Christ.

In 1999, REIGN was formed by the present members, and after a few twists and turns, WARRIOR came alive. The band has performed at many churches, festivals, open-air concerts, and Blessfest. WARRIOR won a contest to open for Carmen and Avalon in front of 22,000 people. They’ve garnered interviews by several publications. WARRIOR’s music has been reaching as far as North & South America, Europe and Asia.

Lead man Tad Donely’s 1998 solo release of “Waiting for the Wind” with Becka Goodrich has favored consistent worldwide sales to date. Audiences and radio stations all over the United States and Europe have been receiving the WARRIOR 2004 release of “The Battle Has Started”, with a major radio campaign starting Jan. 1st, 2005. In many areas, the CD’s crossover hit, “I Want a Walmart Girl” has already begun rising on the charts being played on many Rock stations and Internet Stations and is a called-for audience favorite at every concert.

Radio host Mark Blair Glunt at www.silentplanetradio.com has been impressed by the quality of the band’s material saying, “It’s only a matter of time before doors really open to this band”. New Zealander Trevor Ray; the who overseas www.historyofchristianmetal.com has also been overwhelmed by the band’s excellence at their craft saying, “I can recommend this album without any hesitation. This is a good band that even the adults can enjoy. WARRIOR is a new breed for the future!”
