"“Wasted and Electric Eel Shock supporting the Bloodhound Gang”"

'Hell Yeah!' the audience screams when Wasted's lead singer asks what the public thinks of their
performance. The band has the difficult task to open for Electric Eel Shock and the Bloodhound Gang, butcaptures everyones attention.

Their music is not really innovative, but it sounds great. Nice and hard,
quick and energetic. Catchy melody's played with incredible enthusiasm. This is a band who loves to perform and enjoys the interaction with the crowd.

The guys from Amsterdam (who don't speak a single word of dutch on stage) are in front of a tame
crowd who's difficult to move, but Wasted's energy is irresistible and the band rocks its way to the heart
of the public. With funny anecdotes (like the one about a drag queen in the Philippines) humor and fun is
the main ingredient of their show.

Wasted are professional rockers so expect confident guitar solos. Ad
some hard hitting drums and a powerful, melodious voice of the bass player and you have Wasted: A funband with an energetic performance. Some sunshine and you have the ideal festival band.

After Wasted, Electric Eel Shock is welcomed with enthusiasm. Starting their set with a Black Sabbath
cover..... - Text: Iris Veendendaal, VPRO 3voor12, Main Dutch Alternative Online, Radio and Television Music Stat

"Remarkable presence"

Article 19 march 2007 Venue: LVC, Leiden. Attendance: 200

“The second band of the evening Wasted already attracts my attention while building the stage. Inparticular guitarist 'Frank Suicide' in his leather pants and fur coat has a remarkable presence.

Also lead singer / bass player 'Alex B.L.' catches the attention, only he looks likes a polish immigrant
worker with his woolen sweater and hat (no offense).

Wasted exits the stage, to enter the stage a while later in rock 'n' roll fashion. I don't want to keep going on the fashion of the band, but the fur coat is replaced by some eye-liner and a 'sexier then Satan' tshirt, while the woolen hat and sweater are replaced by a Ramones T-shirt and matching tattoos.

The band makes a kind of speedrock combined with an Iron Maiden voice with spit. I don't know what i should think, but the convincing energetic live show makes me smile. These guys speak English on stage, but after the show the band appears to be from Amsterdam. Or they are English guys from Amsterdam, then forget this comment. After the show Frank shows some sexy footwork and the crew rebuilds the stage for the main act”. - Text: Wouter Jansen, Dutch Online Musicmagazine 'My Own MusicIndustry'

"Short & Loud; Wasted at Venue LVC, Leiden"

“Wasted only has a half hour to persuade and they succeed. Their hard and sometimes very short
numbers won the crowd with ease”. - Roarzine RockMagazine

"Wasted - LIVE"

“Leather pants, all in black, large logo's on the speaker cabinets and a fine mix between Guns 'n' Roses and Turbonegro”. - Kindamuzik, online musicmagazine

"Electric Eel Shock & Wasted"

“I love it!, What a convincing band. If they are playing to 20.000 people they rock the stage. Interesting 'rock-attitude' is hard to come by any more, but these guys pull it off. Pure rock 'n' roll, that's what it is”....”Songs with a great structure, catchy riffs and the looks. Keep an eye on these guys”. - VPRO 3voor12, Dutch (online) music radio and television station

Bio

The States have Vegas, Europe has Amsterdam.
No surprise that the Dutch city of sin gave birth to a rock band named 'Wasted'.

But don't be fooled. Wasted is determined not to waste time at the sidelines of life. The bands motto 'Life's worth living' is taken to heart and has sparked enthusiasm from the Usa to Japan.

Over the last 3 years Wasted slowly spread like a fire in the underbrush of the European live circuit. Already Wasted have been favoured to tour with and support international artists like Electric Eel Shock, AntiProduct, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Nashville Pussy and most recent The Answer and the Bloodhound Gang.

With a good balance of (hard) rock songs and more complex songs Wasted create their own unique blend. The Wasted sound is a combination of the many personal inspirations from the bands members such as Tom Petty, Aerosmith, Motörhead and the Dixie Chicks.

With pre-production work on Wasted's debut album in full effect, Frank Suicide (lead guitar), Alex BL. (main Vox & Bass) and Roland Ritchie (Drums) are stepping into the limelight.

Lead singer Alex: “In these early years we have deliberately put the emphasize on quality, building a stage show and having our music judged by our peers. Any band can bring it on mp3, but delivering on stage night after night is another ballgame”. Founder and guitarist Frank adds: “To put that much mileage on the machine supporting legendary artists such as the MC5 and Dee Dee Ramone makes an incredible but tough learning school, us grunts learning from the veterans”. Drummer Roland: “We're in the middle of pre-producing our first studio album and it sounds big, written from the heart and own experience. A total outlet for our inner joy and rage. Backed up by our friends at Story Sound (sound engineers Alicia Keys, Zappa plays Zappa) we're bringing that stage energy to cd”.

Most recent Wasted signed a worldwide deal with Europe’s leading entertainment company the Strengholt Group (a joint venture with Chrysalis in Europe and Windswept in the USA).
