Bio

Hailing from coastal San Diego, Watch Us Burn is turning up the heat on the SoCal music scene. Melding indie and alternative with pop rock, the quintet has developed a distinct sound and style that when combined with their explosive live performance, is sure to impress fans of any musical genre.

2006 saw the unfortunate dismantlement of Seattle based rock band Acceptance, however it provided guitarist/songwriter Eric Swank the opportunity to work with long time friend and Acceptance dmmer Nick Radovanovic. The two spent weeks recording tracks at Radovanovic's stdio (Redwood Messenger) in Kenosha, WI, the end result being the foundation of Watch Us Burn.

Upon returning to San Diego with promising songs including "Breakdown", Swank went straight to annother long time friend Ken Rapp (Die Radio Die, Jupiter). As lead singe of Watch Us Burn, Rapp reaffirme the notion of true "front man" with his high intensity performances and truely remarkable vocal abilites that never seem to faulter. Rapp suggested that his brother Cassidy Maxwell (lead guitar), join the line-up. Maxwell had made a career scoring music for television shows and now delievers a much desired technical dynamic to Watch Us Burn while still finding ways to pay homage to 80's and 90's metal gods. Although Radovanovic had graced the project with his drum skills in the studio, it was not a full time gig for him and the band's ever preogressivemusic writting demanded a more accessible and full time procussionist. Enter Ryan Lawrence. Lawrence's thick grooves and heavy fills coalesce around the band's musical purposes moment to moment. With the innate sense that his kit's percussive possiblities and a less structuredmore improvisational technique, Lawrence is a natural fit for Watch Us Burn's signiture sound. Nearly a complete ensemble, a chance encounter with bassist Jeff Olszewski would soilidify the group in its entirety.

United by boold, friendship and one common goal, Watch Us Burn is committed to creating passionate music for those passionate about music.
