WAVE RYDER has been on the bill with The Marshall Tucker Band, Professor Louie and The Chromatics, Addison Groove Project, Jen Durkin, Mystic bowie, Shakedown, Riders on the storm, and many more since 1999. Primarily playing original tunes, Wave Ryder will cover favorites from the 60's and 70's rock and psychedelic jam bands. In 2001 the band released a four song disc called "Have some fun", which was recorded at Long Hill studios in Shelton Ct. In 2008 the five song disc "Fm" was released with great public reviews. "Fm" was recorded live at SGAD Studios in Roxbury Ct. The band has played many local clubs including Toads Place, The Red Door, Ray Kelly's Pub, The Corner Pocket, The Star Cafe',
The Red Arrow, Riders Cafe, Daniel Street Cafe', The Puppethouse Theater, The Lodge Bar and Grill, Melissa's Cafe', Bohemian Pizza/Ditto's, Mario's Cafe', Johnny B's, The Oxford Ale House, The Avenue Cafe', The Short Beach Saloon, the Southington Mountain Ski Lodge, and The Orange Bear in NYC. Music festivals include The Spinstock Family reunion, The NY Harvest Festival and Freedom fair, Lorenz Studios Annual Fourth of July underground party and parade, The Mother Earth Revival, and The Gathering of the Elements. In 2003 Wavydave and Rockin' Bob took a trip to St. John's (the U.S. Virgin Islands) and played acoustic sets at The Front Porch, and The Beach Bar. Wave ryder has been broadcast on local cable access (Charter Cable), and recordings of the band have been played on 99.1 WPLR and 88.1 WESU Dead Air w/ Uncle John.

ABOUT THE BAND MEMBERS

WAVYDAVE started the band Wave ryder as an acoustic act. He is a self taught singer-songwriter guitar player and on occasion, bass player. He has written all the band's original material. Wavy has played in various bands including The Alter Boys, Bluemunk, Superchief, and others. He has done recording sessions in various local studio's including Joe's Garage, Spindrift Studios, and Long Hill Studios. Wavy did a live recording session (vocals and acoustic guitar) in 2000 at a studio engineering school in Amsterdam, The Netherlands (can't remember the name of the school, it was Amsterdam!). He recorded The Happy Song, Waitin' On Another Day, and Sounds Alright By Me. Wavy has played many Ct. clubs and also NYC clubs including CBGBS, and The Spiral, The Voodoo Lounge on Long Island and others. Also, The Noon Coffee Shop and The Bourbon St. Cafe' in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Music festivals include The Wamboozy Festival, Rack and Friends Rock Your Art Out, and The 26th annual Woodstock Reunion at Yasgar's Farm. He has had some local air play and has taped numerous videos for local cable access channels with various bands over the past 20 years.

DAVE SOLETSKY joined the band in 2002 on keyboards. He is a Hart School of Music graduate and is trained in classical and jazz piano. He has played in many bands including jazz, rock, jam, and orchestral over the past 15 years. He has also conducted a fifteen piece ensemble. His bands Electric Water (at Trod Nossel Studios) and The United Sound Artists (at SGAD Studios) have both put out full length albums. He is very versatile and has filled in with bands like Hubinger St. and Electric Mayhem. Dave has had the good fortune of jamming with members of Max Creek and other top notch musicians. Dave is also responsible for many live recordings of the band, as well as running SGAD Studios. He is a very talented piano and organ player and really loves to keep the jam rolling.

ROCKIN' BOB HENDERSEN joined the band in 2002 on drums, but in 2007 took over the bass guitar. He is a self taught bass player and drummer with professional skills. He has played in many bands including funk, rock, and hard rock bands over the past 20 years. He is currently playing bass with Wave Ryder and plays drums with reggae jammers "Respect Due". Other bands include Electric Water, Moppin' Sauce, Collosus, Buzzard, and World War 6. Some Ct. clubs Bob has played include Shenanigans, The Globe Theater, Cafe' 127, The Frog Pond, and The Acoustic Cafe'. Bob has also played in the pit orchestra at The Palace Theater in New Haven Ct. for three performances of "Jesus Christ Superstar". He has recorded at Trod Nossel Studios and a full length solo funk disc called "Cock Rock" at SGAD Studios. He's got a great feel and his timing is rock steady.

ROB BONACCORSO joined the band on drums in 2007. He graduated from The Berklee College of Music in 1993 with a bachelors degree in professional music. Rob has played with many top local and regional bands such as The Smokin' Opey Band, Hubinger St., Andrew Groemiller and The Organically Grown, The Rafterbats, Mental Elvis, Shakedown, The String Fingers Band, In The Dark, Sammy Blanchette, and many more.
