WaveSauce, an instrumental surf | pulp | spyfi band offering the unique sounds of the Theremin.
Beginning their musical venture as a surf duo, guitarist, Pete Vercellotti and thereminist, Michele Cookie Heile formed WaveSauce in the Spring of 2007. WaveSauce has been performing as a four-piece since March of 2008, along with Joel Boutwell on bass, and Doug Powers on drums.
WaveSauce has found influence in The Seeds, The Greenhorns, The Blue Hawaiians, Laika and the Kosmonauts, Man or Astro-man?, Neil Young, the Ventures, Jerry Cole, Dick Dale, Clara Rockmore, Leon Theremin, Devo, Surf, Pulp Fiction, Film Noir, B-Rated Horror and Scifi, Lounge, 60s Garage Rock, Exotica, Biker and Hot Rod Films.
The ethereal Theremin, vintage guitar tone, solid rhythm, and creativity in song design, give this band a certain edge - musically and visually.
This band is sure to intrigue.
