Ehrig's Waves, Caves, & Raves

 Media, Pennsylvania, USA
BandJazzJam

A psychedelic jam experience of epic proportions which unquestionably captivates the human mind through depths of emotion conveyed by seldom heard sounds of spiritual expression that are absent the mediocrity that is prominent in music of today.

Biography

Waves, Caves, & Raves is a group consisting of Saxophonist Dave the Wave, drummer Dave the Cave, Guitarist Dave the Rave, & bass playing extraordinaire Cole Ehrig Wills.

The group originally got together as a cover band, but when convulsions of exceptional original material began spewing from the mouths of our PA we knew that there was more to our connection than we had intended.

As the band came together in the studio, we realized the potential of our sound and overall performance. Cole's style of bass playing has little competition other than Stanley Clarke and Les claypool, and Waves' versatility and sax shredding absolutely absorbs the attention of anyone within range. Not to mention the neo electric wobble bass Wills brings onto the set, which mind boggles any one fortunate enough to bear witness, & even more so when brought together with the drumming of Dave the Cave and the funk brought in by Dave the Raves many guitars.

Waves, Caves, & Raves also has an alter ego known as "David Hoagie & his Heroes." which is an act of parody songs on sensitive subject matter that never fails to have the audience dying in laughter.

Lyrics

Unpainted Furniture

Written By: Wave/Ehrig

Verse 1
Who are you to tell me what to do or right from wrong?
Is it true that’s it’s blasphemy to sing this song?
It’s not fair, can’t even prove it’s true,
Except for a book that came out of the blue.

Tell me why it’s not evil to kill in the name.
Good people die, and still you sit & feel no shame.
Is it the power, the money, or just the greed?
I’ll put my faith in something else, this shit; I don’t need.

Chorus
I don’t know who’s my friend when this life ends,
and I don’t know if my only friend is the end.
I don’t know, don’t try to pretend to have the answers
And I don’t know if the promised land is in my hand.
Bridge
got a mass prediction for a contradiction Just watch
my diction, I tell you its not fiction,
You’ll get eternal damnation for some masturbation
Or hear a proclamation while you’re on vacation
They’re all over to with their charities,
Its hypocrisy but you don’t see
You want to help the poor but they want more
I’d show you the door but baby I’m not sure

Chorus
I don’t know who’s my friend when this life ends,
and I don’t know if my only friend is the end.
I don’t know, don’t try to pretend to have the answers
And I don’t know if the promised land is in my head.
