Bio
Chicago's Wax on Radio has emerged at the forefront of a new breed of important young rock bands. At once artistic, virtuosic, heavy, and reminiscent of an era when great songs and evocative aural atmospherics coexisted with strong hooks, the band's debut album, Exposition (Downtown Records), resonates as an uncommonly multifaceted, engaging and convincing statement. The songs of Exposition focus on themes of persistence, strength, and individuality, with an overall mood of somber optimism. The album was recorded in Chicago and mixed in Los Angeles by Mark Needham, known for his work with The Killers and We Are Scientists. The result is an expansive, epic musical experience.
