Wayfarers All

Forming in the winter of 2007, the Wayfarers All has been at the forefront of the Asheville music scene, rapidly building a strong following of Jazz-Fusion lovers.

The band has had an impact on the Jazz-Fusion, Progressive Rock sounds in the region, with the music comprised of mixing Jazz with Progressive Rock, Down-Tempo, Indie, and Classical. The music is widely composed of complex compositions, variety of effects and impressive musicianship.

The name “Wayfarers All” is based around an idea found in Kenneth Grahame's Wind in the Willows, that life is a journey of exploration. That learning and experience is as important, if not more so than the destination itself.

The group is comprised of four players: Tom Stanford (piano, moog voyager, and synths) Tom grew up studying jazz and classical piano and is continuing his studies through Berklee College of Music.

Lee Stanford (Violin, Vocals, Effects) Lee was trained as a classical violinist and currently is studying jazz. She received training in voice and stage at the British-American Drama Academy in Oxford, UK.

Anthony Dorion (Bass, Vocals) Anthony grew up playing Bass and Tuba, and had completed his studies in music through the University of Wisconsin.

Dug Karq (Drums, Vocals) Dug grew up playing drums from the very early age 6 and has excelled in the areas of progressive rock and jazz.

The Band truly enjoys the travel and freedom of touring and is currently booking for the end of 2009 and 2010.
