Love On the Rebound

Witha her seeping exit and her Mabaline eyes, she old Joe Carolina by surprise.
A goodbye kiss and she was gone,
Like a statue he was standing alone
He wouldn't let that litttle girl get him down, he found

Love on the rebound
he met somebody at the lost and found , its called love on the rebound someone to talk when your feeling down, it's call love on the rebound

An executive climber going out on the sly
When she caught him with his girlfreind Ginny told him goodbye
She wouldn't let her soon to be ex get her down, cause she found

Love on the rebound
she met somebody at the lost and found , its called. love on the rebound, someone to talk when your feeling down, it's call love on the rebound

When you've lost the other and you find another, it time to open up the door
Let your new freind in,
let your new life begin
You start winning when you even the score
And you 'll find love on the rebound
You'll meet somebody in the lost & found
It's called love on the rebound

Now 'Carolina Joe' and Ginny are doing allright
They go out for dinner every Saturday night
They have each other to lean upon
When one gets weak then the other is strong
They wouldn't let, nobody get, them down cause they found

Love on the rebound
they met somebody at the lost and found , its called love on the rebound someone to talk when your feeling down, it's call love on the rebound

The Other Side of Love

Written By: George Wythe Wayne

The Other Side of Love

Oh in the springtime, when the air it is so sweet

You walk with the flowers blooming, all around your feet

You smile at the blue sky and you, feel so complete

Summertime is coming; can’t you feel the heat.

That’s the other side of love baby, that’s the other side of love

Now a crisp autumn breeze, slowly begins to blow

That chill in the air will follow you, wherever you go

The last rays of sunshine make the, brown leaves look so old

Wintertime is coming, get ready for the cold

The other side of love is like Jeckle and Hyde

The vintage was great but now your glass is empty and dry

You walked through the doors of love and now your on the other side

That’s the other side of love baby, that’s the other side of love

The seasons will cycle; spring will come like a friend

The cold days of winter’s crying, must come to an end

The days are getting longer don’t you, get caught in the rain

You’re back at the beginning baby; it’s time to start again

That’s the other side of love baby, that’s the other side of love

The Devil Looked Good to Me

Written By: George Wythe Wayne

At a roadside bar room one evening
I met the prettiest woman I'd ever seen
And the Devil is what she said her husband called her

And the Devil looked good to me

So we left and went out on the highway
To a place where she said it had to be
Then we rocked and we rolled for an hour
Then she said wait here for me

When the sheriff arrived I was arrested
They found her husband behind a tree
When the judge said "son what have you got to say for yourself"
I said "The devil looked good to me"

Now the preacher in the chapel in the prison
Gives a sermon for those he hopes will see
He says when Admam took the apple that Eve gave him
He saved a bite for you and me

Heaven help the boy in Virginia
Sitting here on death row I can see
I've been convicted and sentenced to die...... because the devil looked good to me

Yeah the devil looked good to me

My oh My It's Hard to Understand

Written By: George Wythe Wayne

My oh my it's hard to understand
How so many good things can slip through our hands
We are looking for reasons like sifting through sand
My oh my it's hard to understand

Came back to town on a holiday
Seemed like forever since I'd been away
Passed the old school and along the way
I started thinking of her and my younger days

We used to kiss on the corner
and hold each other's hand
I thought that maybe I was falling in love
Thought maybe one day I'd understand

You can't come home again is what they say
Nothing's the same as it was yesterday
If I saw her again, now tell me what would I say?
I'd tell her I'd never forget those days ...when we

Stole a kiss on the corner
Her little sister told her old man
I didn't know if I was really in love
I fiquered one day I'd understand

Asked an old freind about her
Like I always do
He just stood there and hung his head ... and said
"Gee I thought you knew"

There's a quiet lawn on the outside of town
I found her marker there on the ground
I started to cry as I looked around
I'd brought her some flowers so I laid them down

We used to kiss in the corner
And hold each other's hand
I know now that I was really in love
It took me so long to understand

My oh my it's hard to understand
How so many good things can slip through our hands
We are looking for reasons like sifting through sand
My oh my it's hard to understand

My oh my it's hard to understand

The Gift of Light

Written By: George Wythe Wayne

All was quiet was silent night
When everything outside was white
A night in time so far away
still remembered on this day
On this day

Inside the house two hearts would glow
Kissed beneath the mistletoe
And the present from the boy
Smiled upon just like a toy
Like a toy

Then out of the darkness of the silent night
Came the gift of light

The season calls to large and small
To celebrate the trumpet's call
Pound the drum and deck the halls
And share the light inside us all
Inside us all

Then out of the darkness of the silent night
Came the gift of light

Then out of the darkness of the silent night
Came the gift of light

I Wrote It Just For You

Written By: George Wythe Wayne & Arthur Wheeler

I wrote this song this morning
Like I told you I would do
I didn't write it for no one else baby
I wrote it just for you

When I woke up this morning
I had nothing to do
So I sat down and wrote a love song baby
I wrote it just for you
I wrote it just for you

And I hope it finds you feeling happy
Or on some sunny avenue
And I hope it finds you looking pretty, baby
The way that I remember you baby
The way that I remember you

I remember promising to write a song
If my heart for true
I remember promising to write a song
Well I wrote it just for you baby
I wrote it just for you

So when you wake up some morning
And you've got nothing to do
I hope you listen to my love song baby cause
I wrote it just for you
I wrote it just for you

I didn't write it for no one else

I hope it brightens up your morning
To know somebody thought of you
You know I kinda hope you like it baby, cause
I wrote it just for you
I wrote it just for you

Goodnight Old Friend

Written By: George Wythe Wayne

Good Night Old Friend

Well goodnight old friends and goodtimes
It's time to go where we all gotta go sometime
Where goodtimes are like bad times
The've all got to go where all time has gotta go some time..sometime

Sometime I think about you now and then
You know I do , you know I remember when friend
We shared good times together that may never be there again

So goodnight sweet little children
It's time to go to bed like your pretty, pretty, pretty mama said
She loves you, have them sweet dreams
Though their not real you will probably sleep good tonight

I thought I saw a man a running
Women and children running to
I thought I saw them folks a running
Trouble is though
That they don't know though
What they'r running from or where they're running to

So say 'bye bye' such a sweet dream
Though you weren't real I will probably feel good all day
You loved me , then you left me
It's hard to see but we all gotta see sometime...sometime

If sometime you think about me now and then
I hope you do, I hope it will be as a friend
Cause we shared good times together that may never be there again

So say goodnight old friends you know it's time to go where we all gotta go sometime
Where goodtimes are like bad times
They all gotta go where all time has gotta go sometime.. sometime

So 'goodnight'

Baby, Baby, Baby-I Love You

Written By: Wheeler & Wayne

Baby, Baby, Baby- I Love You

Flesh meet flesh
Bone meets bone
My blood flows through your veins
Your heart is my home
We'll have 10,000 babies
I will be King
I'll abdicate my throne for
Cause it doesn't mean a thing

Tonhue meet tounge
Face meet face
Jealous ones will always try
Our love won't be replaced
We'll live out on an island
You shall be Queen
We'll squander all our fortune
Cause it doesn't mean a thing

Mouth meet mouth
Brian meet brain
We'll argue and we'll disagree
Til we become the same
We'll raise 10,000 children
Teach them to sing
We'll sacrifice ourselves for love
And all that it will bring

Above My Foolish pride

Written By: George Weeks

My God you have lifted me up high above my foolish pride
I give thanks each day, that here I'll stay till you call me by your side

And for them who say they do not believe, well they tell themselves a lie
As they wander and roame ,pray they will come home, before the day they die

Take me down to the water, let it wash all over me
Let me feel your mighty power lord
And let that power and that glory make me all that I should be

And when man's work on earth is through and then every eye shall see
That for all man's gain , it was all in vain-except what was done for thee.

I'm Talkin Bout you

Written By: George Wythe Wayne

I had to tell someone what I'm going through
With my lips to your ears I'll share it with you
I've met someone special as my feelings renew
An ocean of emotion is washing away the blues
I'm talking bout you, you, you, you I,m talking bout you

The first time I saw you I think that I knew
With your eyes you told me that you knew it too
That look that you gave me I felt through and through
I'm wanting to be a a part of everything that you do
I'm talkin bout you, you, you ,you I,m talkin bout you

Irrational nonsence some would say
But I won't believe them 'til you turn me away

And now you are saying these thing we can do
We'll start something special try something that's new
We'll write our own chapter every word will be true
I promise to love you what more can I do
I'm talkin bout you, you , you....I,m talkin bout you
