Multi-talented Houston artist Wayne Brezz is no stranger to great music. Counting Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross as favorites and even Ne-Yo (who we all know is a personal favorite of mine) it’s no surprise, when you listen to his songs that you can hear their soulful influence so very well.
Wayne Brezz brings that classic sound that’s missing in today’s music and adds a fresh twist that will definitely win him many fans, especially the ladies. He's a talented singer and song writer.
I know I had to catch myself when he held a particular note in his latest single ‘She Got It’, featuring another up and coming artist, rapper Doughbeezy.
The singer, songwriter and dancer…yes, dancer (he’s toured with Usher world tour along with appearances on stage with Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson, Missy Elliot, and Ciara) is ready to take it to the top of the industry and we’ll get a chance to ride that wave when his upcoming EP “I Am” is released this fall.

Waynze Brezz has a new single called “She Got It” featuring Doughbeezy!
This hip hop track has R&B vocals, and a great rap verse from Doughbeezy. It’s very Urban Pop and the track has great production, which is uncommon among today’s up-and-coming Hip Hop artists. The lyrics are cliche but I’ll blame that on the song’s genre. Wayne Brezz has talent. Did you hear his high note at the end? Wayne has a voice on him.
Wayne Brezz is a singer/songwriter from Houston, Texas. Combining the urban sounds of R&B, Hip-Hop and Pop, his music sounds like a mixture of Ne-Yo, Mario, Usher, and Lloyd. He got his start in the music industry when he got signed by Cartel Music Group and The Underdog Entertainment Group, and was a part of a boy band. It wasn’t all fine and dandy though. The group went their separate ways and Wayne pursued his solo career. Talking about the experience he says,
“I decided to become a solo artist for several reasons. One, creative control. I think nothing is more satisfying than being able to connect with your fans on a personal level through different experiences I encounter. My experiences birth my creativity. I don’t get that same satisfaction from being in a boy band.”
Wayne also has dancing experience and was a stage dancer for Usher’s epic Truth World Tour. Following his performance with Usher, Wayne has worked with Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Missy Elliot, Ciara and more.
Believe it or not, Wayne has opened for Z-Ro, Lil Flip, and Beat King and has toured with Grammy Award winning artists Juicy J, Bone Thugs N Harmony, and DMX.
Wayne is currently working on his debut EP, “I AM”, which he plans on releasing sometime this Fall. He says that his EP is inspired by “the mistakes I have made in life—relationships, friends, and lovers—to the incredible leaps I have taken in the industry.”

“Wayne Brezz is most definitely a crooner. A hybrid of rnb, pop, hip hop and alternative. "Love Affair" is a beautiful song about a one night sexual encounter or a possible booty call. Great lyrical content and sensual vocals. A steamy love ballad. "Only One" is a mid tempo monster. Great track, vocals and production. This track speaks about a potential soul mate. The background vocals add loads of texture. The overall song is very reminiscent of a Robin Thicke or Justin Timberlake record. The percussions give it major flare. "Rage Tonight" is a club banger. A mixture of edm, pop and rnb. A gorgeously fabricated masterpiece. From start to finish you will fist pump and foot shuffle. The lyrics are intoxicating. "Ride Me" is most definitely an intimate arrangement. Reminds us of an Usher Raymond track. Vocals are clean, production is stellar but the lyrics will have your toes curl. Sexy and playful. Overall, this artist has all the workings to become a major star within the dilapidate”

Hailing from Houston Texas, Wayne Brezz is a singer/songwriter with a unique sound, combining old-school R&B with a contemporary pop sound. As long as he can remember, music has been Wayne’s true passion and driving force. From as little as five years old, Wayne was in his parents’ living room, singing and dancing in front of the TV to the musical styling of legends, like the Temptations and Michael Jackson. Wayne reflects, “I don’t think then I knew music would be such a huge impact on my life now, but it’s like a vine that hasn’t stopped growing”. His passion for music continued through his childhood.
In middle school, Wayne started writing poetry and with the encouragement of family and friends, Wayne began to turn those poems into song lyrics. Realizing no one could sing his original songs better than he could, Wayne began to take singing more seriously. As the years passed, and he went from boy to man, Wayne continued to learn and be inspired by musical greats such as Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5, Luther Vandross, Donny Hathaway, and Mint Condition. Current artist influences such as Ne-Yo, Mario, Usher, and Lloyd keep Wayne’s musical mindset fresh, but still with hints of classic old-school R&B.
In 2005, Wayne was signed by the Cartel Music Group and The Underdog Entertainment Group as a member of a Houston R&B/Pop group. Eventually, the group went their separate ways, opening the door for Wayne to move back to Houston and pursue his solo music career. As a solo artist, Wayne has developed a sound that works for both his dance pop and smooth R&B records. He takes the pop sound of today that’s all over billboard charts and ties it into 90’s era R&B flair. From performance on the main stage, to vocals in the studio booth, Wayne’s musical expertise and entertainment charm enables him to reach fans in any arena and any stage.
In 2004, Wayne was a stage dancer for Usher’s epic Truth World Tour. Following his performance with Usher, Wayne has had the honor of working with pop sensations such as Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Missy Elliot, and Ciara as he continues to perfect his musicianship.Wayne continues to work and grow as an artist in Houston, opening for Houston artists such as Z-Ro, Lil Flip, and Beat King. No matter where he opens, Wayne prides himself on his unique sound and theatrical performance. Recently, Wayne toured with Grammy Award winning artists Juicy J, Bone Thugs N Harmony, and DMX.
Wayne released his first EP December 08, of 2014 which debuted at #98 on iTunes Top 100 Pop Charts. “I AM” will serve as a lens for fans to really look into who Wayne really is.
