"Remarkable Guitar Virtuoso From Easton"

"Wayne Scott Farley has developed a highly distinctive and very impressive style on 12-string acoustic and electric guitars. He pushes the limits of what seems to be possible with the instrument with his playing that incorporates percussive techniques and the use of harmonics and interesting chord voicings. He adds appealing vocals and creative lyrics to create music that makes one wonder if it's coming from just one guitar. After a very memorable appearance in a Homegrown Music recording session last year, he makes his debut on the live concert series."
January 2005 - George Graham Homegrown Music Producer, WVIA Scranton, PA

"Captivating!"

The 12-StringZiNG always amazes me! His live performances are captivating, and to actually talk to him out of context, he's an inspiring individual. Glad to find this video here - May 2007

"Wayne Scott Farley: A Review May 4, 2004"

"I have listened to and heard a great deal of music in my life, and it is rare to come across a band or musician that completely floors you. This is what my experience was like when I mixed FOH for Wayne Scott Farley at the New York International Music Festival. After working with some 200+ artists I was not expecting this, and with 100 or more to go, I was truly grateful.

I was introduced to Wayne as the next performer on the roster, and proceeded to get him set up on stage. It was the usual interaction, save for the quiet demeanor and sense of peacefulness that surrounds this gentleman. He then began to play. I was immediately struck by the cascade of precisely executed notes filling the room.

This was not just some technically savvy guitarist ripping lines, but a virtuoso delicately creating a tapestry of intricately woven sounds. Mr. Farley brings to mind players such as John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola, Paco De Lucia, and Steve Morse. His vocal style is reminiscent of Michael Hedges. Should you have the opportunity to see him you will be struck by the sense of quiet power flowing from the stage as this wall of sound pours through your being.

Wayne Scott Farley is a truly rare and unique artist that should not be missed. He is sure to make his mark on this industry and on many more music lovers."

"CROSS RHYTHMS Magazine"

"Of all the staggering musical performances that Cross Rhythms has been privileged to host down the years few can match, both for superlative quality and for its sheer unexpectedness, 1995's dazzling Showcase tent gig of the Blue Angels' guitarist Wayne Scott Farley.
A guitarist was heard to remark after the gig, 'I feel like giving up... this man is playing stuff I didn't think was possible to play on a guitar'. On sheer ability Wayne is up there with the Dan Huffs and the Phil Keaggys".

"ROCK review"

"As regular readers of Cross Rhythms will know, Force For Good is the band fronted by Wayne Scott Farley, the maestro guitarist (and this man's talents really are awesome). When Mike Rimmer reviewed 'When The Mists Have Rolled Away" as an import back in CR27 it earned the 10 square acolade and a fresh listen shows Mr. Rimmer's ears were not deceiving him. Instantly accessible this isn't, it is dense and eclectic ambient rock seemingly taking on influences as diverse as Pink Floyd and Celtic folk music which "Fields Of Faith" is a haunting classic. - by Tony Cummings

"Wayne Scott Farley wins.... May 16, 2004"

"WSF wins the most requested award two weeks running - we're going to BUZZ these tracks again this week. Can't seem to get enough. Especially "the raven" - if you have not caught it yet - DO! If you don't see me one week in june, I'll be at one of his performances in New York City, who's coming with me?" - Zoe Montana @ radioioACOUSTIC

"The Phil Stahl Show, July 7, 2004"

"Wayne has four arms and plays a double neck guitar.. he's turned adversity into innovation... an inspiration to us all ...
or at least you would think he has 4 arms when you
listen to the seamless way he plays lead over his
rhythm parts using a loop box".
- Mike Wuerstle, Sound Engineer

"Watching Wayne Scott Farley is like watching a lava lamp". - Travis McDemus, Ass't Sound Engineer

"WVIA FM 89.9 - HOMEGROWN MUSIC SERIES, August 5, 2004"

"From Easton, PA, guitar virtuoso and singer-songwriter Wayne Scott Farley makes his first appearance on Homegrown Music with some outstanding original music highlighting his remarkable skills on guitar. With a guitar style that hints at both Michael Hedges and Adrian Legg, but played exclusively on 12-string guitars, Farley's guitar work is impressive. And he's also a fine songwriter and with a pleasing vocal style". - by Series Producer George Graham

""Current Distraction" Review Sept. 2004"

"Cool chord changes and poignant theme. Great lyrical imagery. Overall, a powerful song and talented songwriting." - 12th Annual Billboard World Song Contest

Bio

Wayne's love of many different styles of music has resulted in his having an extra wide harmonic and rhythmic vocabulary. Drawing from these many influences keeps his music fresh and exciting! He feels the particular fingerstyling approach he uses on the guitar gives him greater control over the emotional content of the material. Wayne would rather say more with one well-placed note than rely on the usual flurry of riffs. He wants to give the audience something new everytime he performs. Although the compositions are highly structured, he always leaves room in them to apply something improvisational and unexpected!

A sound engineer recently wrote: "It was the usual interaction, save for the quiet demeanor and sense of peacefulness that surrounds this gentleman. He then began to play. I was immediately struck by the cascade of precisely executed notes filling the room.
