We are Way With Words, a young, Pop/Rock/Punk, from Melbourne, Australia. We were fortunate enough to record our debut EP at the Red Bull Studios in Santa Monica. Since returning, we have released one of the songs on to Purevolume which saw us ranked 1# in the charts. More recently, we had our EP launch for our debut EP entitled 'Better Off Friends' which saw us over sell the capacity of the venue.

Biography

Emerging from the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, Way With Words are a catchy, guitar-driven, melodic five-piece who have been refining their craft for the last year. With their final complete lineup formed in mid 2010 impassioned pop melodies paired with sentimental storytelling is just some of what pop/punk rockers Way With Words has to offer.

After growing up together in high school and with Joey, front-man of the band, still 16, their age is not holding them back from doing what they love and having a good time.
Playing alongside artists such as For Our Hero, Mest, Tonight Alive and Bluejuice, Way With Words’ appeals to a crowd of all ages.

Recording their debut EP in Los Angeles, Way With Words were fortunate enough to be flown over to the USA after winning the inaugural Red Bull Bedroom Jam competition to record their debut EP produced by Eric Stenman (Good Charlotte, All Time Low, Thrice, MIA). The guys were locked in the studio recording for 7 days, which saw them get up to all kinds of crazy antics and surviving on nothing but Red Bull and Fruit Loops.

The "Better Off Friends" EP depicts the story of love and loss far beyond the maturity of a group of teenage boys. Featuring five tunes of quality pop/punk these boys will tug at your heart strings and stay in your head for days.

"It's hard to define what will make a band 'the next big thing'. Whatever 'it' is, Way With Words have it in spades" - Lucy Hearn, MySpace Australia
