Bio

Schizophrenic, fist pumping, punch you in the lips Rock n’ Roll.

It’s better not to ask We Are Invisible what they think they sound like unless you want a lengthy discussion on all of the bands they love. Or maybe you love talking about Rock as much as they do. If so, have at it.

The three-piece mixes a bit of everything, from 70s Prog and 80s punk, to 90s garage and today’s noise Rock. The band’s jagged, rich and aggressive sound and precise lead and harmonic vocals weave sometimes tell-off, mostly sad, dark stories.

WAI formed in 2004 after drummer Dom played once in the sister’s Potrero Hill studio space and immediately moved his drum set in. After furiously writing and practicing, the band recorded, tracked and mixed their self-release out of the distinct Tiny Telephone studios. After releasing We Are Invisible, they found themselves playing to regular crowds in the Bay area and being featured on college radio stations as well as in the press.

As with all rock nerds, thee band soon started exploring and writing a whole new thing. This time around they emerged from the studio with GIANT, a shockingly epic and heavy result of their somewhat Rock Opera leanings.

2006 has been an incredible year for the band thus far, releasing GIANT on Poison Free Records (PFX), finishing a mini West Coast US tour in February and getting ready for a European Summer tour. For We Are Invisible, it’s all Rock.

And that’s exactly where they want to be.
