Bio

Founder/CEO/Producer – Marques D. Buford Sr. (Mr. CEO) Growing up in one of Chicago’s toughest housing projects, everyone knew that Mr. CEO was destined for greatness! Although he always had an ear for and interest in great music, friends and family members thought he would achieve fame as a basketball star. “Basketball was a tool that allowed me to escape the hood, and receive a quality high school (St. Rita) and college (Indiana State & Chicago State) education! Music has always been my true passion, and God has equipped me with the skills needed to exceed everyone’s expectations; including my own!”
Mr. CEO is a self-taught producer, and an ambitious entrepreneur. His aim is to work with a diverse group of aspiring artists in order to use music as a tool to excite, inspire and unify Chicagoans. “We live in one of the nation’s most segragated cities. If we can take over Chicago, then we can take over the world!” Mr. CEO is also committed to “being the change (he’d) like to see in this world). In 2009, he worked with Chicago non-profit, BUILD, Inc., and produced/recorded “We Gotta BUILD,” a song that addresses the need to eliminate youth violence in America. This song has received local and national attention, including being featured on MTV Jams’ Chicago Day!
.Mr. CEO has developed a strong team and a dynamic plan. His motto is: “Success won’t come to us, so we gotta go get it!” His values are Loyalty, Enthusiasm, Godliness, Excellence, Nobility and Determination. Mr. CEO encourages his family, friends and artists, “Embrace and exemplify these values/characteristics, and you too, can be LEGEND!”

Artist – Lamar Jorden (J-Storm) Hailing from Chicago’s West Side, J-Storm has been emceeing since the age of 12. Now 21, he defines his style as “the perfect blend of incredible lyricism, innovative punch lines, lyrical versatility, storytelling ability, and lyrical fearlessness.” In 2009, he won the LTAB Emcee Olympics, a city- wide emcee competition, which is a part of an annual city-wide poetry festival called Louder Than A Bomb. Later that year, J-Storm also earned a victory in the Emcee Olympics held by Brave New Voices, the national youth poetry festival which had its own mini-series on HBO, in which J-Storm was featured.
In addition to aiming to be the face of the mainstream rap industry, J-Storm also wants to help spark the change today, for a better world tomorrow. In 2009, J-Storm worked with a Chicago non-profit, BUILD, Inc., and recorded a song called “We Gotta BUILD,” dedicated to raising awareness and stopping youth violence in America. This song has received local and national attention, including a featured drop on MTV Jams.
J-Storm is also a renowned poet (known as “Tha Truffe”), and was a headline act televised nationally during the 2010 March Madness Championship Game! This talented young man is hard working and ambitious, and has a 3-part series of mix tapes scheduled to drop in 2010. Please pay close attention, as the world is taken by J-Storm!

Artist – Keith Wilhoite (Lil’ Keith) Chicago native, Lil’ Keith began to take an interest in rapping at the age of 8, and he would excitingly display his talents for family members! At age fifteen, Lil’ Keith recorded his first rap, “Money Hungry,” which became the single on his first mix tape. Although this song didn’t hit mainstream, it was a valuable experience that Keith would later use.
Today, Lil’ Keith is a highly competent, confident, and creative artist. He has conducted numerous performances, and his audiences absolutely admire his swag, humility, and catchy-metaphoric lyrics. He was the runner-up in the 2010 Midwest Artist Showcase, which featured more than 15 local artists! Lil’ Keith is “striving just to be a LEGEND, so many honoring [his] presence that [he] should be a reverend” (excerpt from Keith’s hit song, “Believe in Me”). Believe in him as he transitions from the margins to the mainstreams and become a true LEGEND.
