We Are Liars

Welcome to the brand spanking new faces of pop-rock: We Are Liars. This Sydney outfit consists of Chris Durbin (guitar), Carlo Garcia (drums), Mark Kadry (vocals), Patrick Maloney (bass) and Brendan Murgatroyd (guitar).

We Are Liars have a sound that can only be described as exciting, energetic and down to earth pop rock with influences from the likes of Taking Back Sunday, Blink 182, Forever The Sickest Kids and Kisschasy, drawing regular crowds with their high-energy, raw and upbeat performances which won them the 2008 Sessions Campbelltown competition, resulting in rotation on C91.3 FM.

Having played together as friends for over two years, it was in late 2009 that We Are Liars wrote and recorded an extended play with respected industry producer Sonny Truelove (Angelas Dish, The Valley/ The Closer), completing an EP, due out July 2010, that stretches well beyond their years.

The always reliably strong and diverse performance of We Are Liars has seen them play with Aussie acts such as Chemical Transport, Elora Danan, Hands Like Houses, My Future Lies and Dangerous. As well as this, their entertaining shows makes them regular club favourites with local acts Ladies And Gentlemen, The Attendance, In This Defence and Late Night Premiere.

We Are Liars are making the best of each opportunity, and relishing every moment. These four passionate boys put their everything into every song and every show, proving that they are not going anywhere fast, anytime soon. We Are Liars are definitely a band to watch in 2010.
