"A selection of quotes"

> Les Inrocks “...MarvinMarvin was born in Paris following a freight delivery mishap... from Weezer to
Supergrass or the Pixies...”
> Interneto “...their sound is as ravaging as a punk rock tidal wave and as melodic as pop made in the UK”
> Musique Rom “this band should gain popularity within the next few years...”
> KwFm “their songs offer some serious, thought-out rock. This goes to show that new french rock does
exist”
> PopRock.be “MarvinMarvin : no future ? That remains to be seen...”
> Pop In Gays “MarvinMarvin, an english singing french band, shows promise”
> A Découvrir Absolument “they are energetic and catchy... a great surprise from the past.”
> Premonition “MarvinMarvin reminds us of loads of stuff it would be difficult to cite because the band has
its own originality : perfect pop melodies, nervous guitars and true melancholy touches... French, with a
funny name, gifted, unpretentious and very promising, especially if they manage to hurdle the barriers of
the french music system.”

Discography

MarvinMarvin's debut EPs were lo-fi releases. The first recordings were demos : "You're welcome" in 2002 and "Greatest Hits" in 2003. In 2005, the band recorded their first LP called "Magazine", produced in a fully analog studio, by Lionel Darenne. Today a new EP called "Famous Unknown EP" is out and available since April 2007. Some songs also appear on special projects or compilations : Buzzlighter (Shut Eye Records / US), Escale #1 (Le Cargo / Fr), NotCD2 and Tribut (Le Sonotone / Fr). MarvinMarvin, currently without a record label, are working on their second studio album, expected for release sometime in 2008.

Bio

MarvinMarvin incorporates a wide variety of styles, including PowerPop, Folk, Rock, Psychedelic noise and Punk. Equally inspired by classic tunes from the late 60's as well as the modern scene, they are french guys trying to play sometimes rock - sometimes pop - never pop-rock !
MarvinMarvin is an accident based on an improbable friendship between people with very different backgrounds, and influences that contribute to a particular universe that reflects interaction of the genres : where hippie coolness easily gives way to punk rebellion... The band's concern with music is not only artistic but humoristic and, at times, political. Musicians have the privilege of expressing their ideas on current events and making social commentary in addition to more personal subjects with the aim to provoke any type of reaction.
