"Pretty Ugly music refreshes rock scene"

"Pretty Ugly blasts a type of unrefined, viscerally raw music the band endearingly dubs dirt ball rock and roll. Front man and lead guitarist Conner Rambins lyrics are delivered like a punch in the gut." - Tacoma Weekly - By Nick Przybyciel - Published on Wed, April 18, 2007

Bio

Pretty Ugly is a three piece band from the Seattle-Tacoma area. These sonsabitches play rock tunes the way rock should be played - full of anger, questions and rage against the unknown future! Not to mention their tremendously energetic live shows, loud and in your face, daring you to do something about it. Pretty Ugly brings to mind the days of old, when musicians didn’t give a shit about signing with a record label or what their image might be! Without fail they plug in their guitars, tap into their deepest & darkest emotions and leave everything on the stage. A Pretty Ugly show starts and finishes in a fury, as though the emotions coursing through their veins can barely be contained. These guys pump out tune after hard rockin’ tune with careless abandon and are still able to settle it down for an angry, disturbing ballad or two, made all the more mysterious by the haunting and agonizing scream of their mesmerizing lead singer. When the job is done, Pretty Ugly leaves the stage in utter disarray and amidst wailing feedback.
In February 2010 Pretty Ugly returned to Big Sound Productions with Steve Jones behind the board and recorded a seven track EP full of primal, emotionally soaked tracks intended to strike a nerve and spark controversial debate. The Tramp, touching on subjects like religion, pedophilia, infidelity, drugs & alcohol, domestic violence and suicide, is Pretty Ugly getting back to their roots. With 2011’s return of an old friend on Drums, Pretty Ugly is currently writing new material and planning a huge 2011.
