"Sol Testimony"

"A truly gifted artist! Thanks so much for coming down to Jazzmine's and blessing us with your incredible voice. You sing like the angels and play the guitar with the best of them!! I'll clear the stage to hear you again!!" - Jazzmine's/Minneapolis

"Ryan Sheldon"

"On October 4th, 2008 Harmony LaBeff played a benefit concert for the Out of the Darkness Walk held by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. We were really excited to have Harmony and his band donate their time and efforts to our cause. The music was awesome and everyone there really liked what they heard. One song, in particular, was really relevant to the cause: Silver Lining-- such [an] inspirational song. We look forward to working with them again in the future!" - Students Overcoming Suicide

"Tim Michaelson"

"From the first notes of "I May Not Be the One" there's no mistaking the passion, the singing and songwriting talent of Harmony LaBeff. Not every artist translates so well to live performance, or offers excellent conversation and such a positive outlook on life." - KDEC 100.5

Bio

Poignant and poetic lines are the reason musician friends have affectionately nicknamed Harmony LaBeff, We Are The Preamble's frontman, the “lyrical assassin.” Influenced by logophiliacs like Adam Duritz (Counting Crows), Lauryn Hill and Fiona Apple, the lyricism of his debut EP Love Is Not an Accident is intelligent and imaginative but never inaccessible. Harmony’s gift of phrasing, timing, pacing and rhyming intrigues the avid liner-note-lyric-reader and the casual listener alike.

"Love Is Not an Accident" encourages people to listen to the sometimes-stifled inner-voice calling them towards their deepest desires to live purposefully and selflessly. The six songs on the EP are the soaring kind of rock songs that fans of U2, Switchfoot, The Fray and One Republic love to soak in and sing along.

After uprooting from Minneapolis to Chicago to marry his best friend & songwriting partner, Harmony began putting together what would become the band, We Are the Preamble. At the heart of the band's sound is a singer-songwriter's secret hope of hope restored. Harmony's silvery voice soars & dives over the sound of a smokey Rhodes, spacey guitars, bubbling synths & ornamented drumming.

Facts:
Legendary Rockabilly artist, Sleepy LaBeef, is Harmony’s grandfather. Harmony is named after his father who is also a singer-songwriter-guitarist; Sleepy started the musical-name tradition.

‘Silver Lining,’ written for a friend struggling with suicidal impulses, was featured in Rift Magazine’s “Rift Compilation, Vol. 1”. ‘Silver Lining’ has received numerous accolades from the music industry recognized website, GarageBand.com, including: Track of the Day in Pop Rock.

The members of We Are the Preamble are actively involved in humanitarian causes including The One Campaign, Invisible Children and World Vision. ‘Anthem for the Silent Planet’ was written for the voiceless children of the world. Harmony and Amaryah have both traveled to Monrovia, Liberia in Africa to be a part of social change through construction projects, community projects, training and musical performances.
