Randy Reddell - 2011 via Make-That-A-Take Records

UNIFORMS are a passion-fuelled four-piece DIY melodic punk rock band from the east coast of Scotland. They formed in late summer 2011 and recorded their first demo in September before playing their first gig at a sold-out show with polarising US punk band RVIVR in Edinburgh. October saw them step in to open for Red City Radio before flying off to Gainesville, Florida to play Pre-Fest at Wayward Council.

November saw UNIFORMS undertake their first Scottish jaunt on the “4 Shows In 4 Days Is Not A Tour” adventure before playing Book Yer Ane Fest V in Dundee alongside the likes of Leatherface, Antillectual, Bangers, Franz Nicolay, The Arteries and many more. They wrapped up 2011 by playing a packed show at a punk house in North London, which brought with it plenty of festive chaos.

2012 is shaping up to be a busy year for UNIFORMS. They’ll be supporting Dead To Me (Fat Wreck) in Dundee in February before recording their first EP to be released by their own Make-That-A-Take Records collective. May will see the band hitting the road in support of Fat Wreck’s Cobra Skulls on their UK tour before jetting off to the USA for a three week tour with Denver, Colorado’s Loaded 45, including two shows in Mexico. A “return leg” with Loaded 45 is tentatively scheduled to hit Europe in late September/early October also.

UNIFORMS are looking to play as many shows, festivals, backyard parties, squats and/or any other type of venue as possible in 2012. With a well-received demo, great reviews for their full-blast live shows and the ambition to play as many gigs in as many places as possible; UNIFORMS have had a great first six months of existence and are very excited for the next twelve months of adventures.
