Bio
We Are Wolves sculpt auditory collages propelled by unbridled, urgent hooks. Started as an art project in 2000, We Are Wolves left their mothers den of Montreal, Canada in support of such acts as The Gossip, And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, and the [International] Noise Conspiracy.
The trio, featuring Alexander Ortiz on vocals/bass/guitar, Vincent Levesque on synths/drum machine/vocals, Antonin Marquis on drums/percussion/vocals, create music that stands out from the norm and expands the threshold of what a musical act can be.
Sawtooth guitars, primal rhythms, gritty textures, and howling synths form a violent pack of feral energy. It is a combination that has earned considerable praise from both the indie underground and renowned music press [Rolling Stone, URB, Pitchfork, Spin, and many more].
An amalgam of forward-thinking electronic dance, abrasive garage punk, and surreal psychedelia, the Wolves sound is the thrilling perilous bridge between the industrial and the organic.
Propelled by a stand-up drummer and drum machine their live sets evoke the primal intensity of their lupine counterparts.
The solid brilliance of their innovative self-released LP, NON-STOP Je Te Plie En Deux [NON-STOP, I Fold You In Half] has earned them a rabid following reinforced by a relentless US and Europe tour schedule.
