Bio
Weathermaker seeks out a thick sound laced with soulfulness and raw with thunderous searching. The band has only been together since the beginning of 2005 and but has already been picking up and shooting out feelers across the Oregon trail. The band is currently a power-trio, although they have been incorporating the colors of some different keyboardists as of late.
The band is composed of -Josh Rivera- a NJ native who had been playing acoustic music for the last couple of years in Portland before bringing his material to Weathermaker. Rivera is a stylized and eloquent songwriter. He both sings and plays lead guitar with a passionate distinct voice. Scott Dewitt- a Michigan native whose been playing syrupy, ethereal bass in bands for years, including the indie-dance band Nimbus where he first played alongside Weathermaker's drummer- Dan Canty- a powerful and graceful drummer from NY with a solid sense of rhythm. Together they form an innovative sound that is destined to shake something in you.
The band has just completed their first cd- a beautiful piece of information- A homemade but dedicated venture designed to get their music out early without compromising its quality.
