Jonathan “WEAVA” Weaver
Jonathan “Weava” Weaver, is a talented 19-year old singer, songwriter, and producer with a strong urban r&b style. His writing, producing, and performance style has been compared to the likes of The Dream, Jamie Foxx, Usher Raymond, and Jay-Z. Since his childhood; this accomplished pianist and musician has been expanding his repertoire as a multi-dimensional singer, songwriter, producer and entrepreneur. When Jonathan was 14-years old, he began working with professional vocalists, producers, writers, and musicians. During those years, Jonathan gained experience on the road and exposure to the music business. In 2008, it was that same experience that influenced Weava to start his own record label, Chuch Boy Records, LLC. By this time, it was clear that this Birmingham, Alabama native had entertainment and business in his blood. It was also in 2008, that Jonathan he released his first CD “Inside Out”, which received outstanding reviews from inside music critics. That same year, he won the International Songwriter's Competition in the Teen Category for his song “Say So” which was featured on the Inside Out project. This was yet another display of Weava's phenomenal writing style and production ingenuity. In 2009, he released a second project “Explanation”, which credited him with substantial growth in his production and specifically his recording/engineering abilities. By the time fall 2009 rolled around, Weava was a full-time student at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida with a concentration in Recording Arts and Music Business. He has already received one degree and currently is working towards the second. This young music mogul, operates like a well-oiled machine and continues to produce blazing hot music and explosive lyrics. Most recently, he released his first mix tape called “3rd Base Mix Tape” and he is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on a second mix tape, which is scheduled for a September release. Jonathan Weaver is a total package and his diverse musical influences allows him to perform and produce songs for all genres of music including; R&B, urban pop, traditional gospel, contemporary gospel, dance electronic, and many others. He has already traveled to several countries and won many songwriting and producing competitions. Weava continues to make great music for other established and aspiring artists. Jonathan is currently working as a composer and producer for the upcoming musical “Cheezecake Boiz and The Diva”, written and directed by stage, television, and screen writer, Towanda Kilpatrick. Weava is an amazing artist and his music is youthful energetic and relevant.
