Currently based in Athens, GA, singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Tommy Wedge first began releasing solo music under the banner WEDGE in 2007, with his acclaimed debut album Heavensville (garnering Rolling Stone magazine Artist of the Week honors), an atmospheric mix of dreamy pop, electronica, and ambient soundscapes. He followed that with the 2009 EP Until I Reach L.A. Around this time Tommy reconnected with Mark Emge, the percussionist/multi-instrumentalist with whom the he had formed his earliest bands as a teenager, back in the ‘90s. Emge had settled in Los Angeles, and it was after hearing Heavensville that Mark also started imagining what the pair could accomplish together. The result is Almost Silent (Harmonium Film & Music), a stunning achievement that melds celestial moods, organic and electronic instrumentation, seraphic vocal harmonies, and shimmering beats into the most powerful, vocal-oriented WEDGE collection yet...
