With a unique sound influenced in equal measure by David Lynch’s liminal, hallucinatory worlds, and acts as varied as the Beach boys, T. Rex, The Tammys, Syl Johnson and O.V. Wright, not for nothing have Weird Dreams have been described as “the most exciting new band in London” (RockFeedback, February 2011).

Biography

Weird Dreams was born in the summer of 2010 at the Tough Love Festival at the unique Stag's Head venue in East London a mile North of Hoxton. The band is now a 4 piece with Doran Edwards, the band's main songwriter on guitar, James Wignall on guitar, Hugo Edwards on bass and Craig Bowers on drums. The bands first release, a limited edition cassette distributed through Rough Trade Shops sold out immediately, followed by later with a split 7" single with US band, Total Slacker which also sold out. Popular with blogs both sides of the Atlantic, Weird Dreams released a one sided vinyl 12" EP with 4 tracks in March this year which was also critically acclaimed in blogland. The band spent the summer recording their debut album due for release in January 2012 with a single due in the autumn, both on Tough Love Records.
