This engaging collection of traditional and new family tunes is performed by veteran professional adult vocalists and musicians led by singer-songwriter-arranger Bill Currier. Old favorites ("Down By the Bay," "Crawdad," "Wheels on the Bus" and more) are refreshed in an expert mix of rock 'n roll, R&B, folk, country and gentle punk. Currier's own imaginative contributions ("I'd Love to Be A Pirate," "Laugh Laugh" are a couple of highlights) add imagination, depth and unexpected soulfulness.

Bio
My name is Bill Currier and I'm a full time musician. I've played original and cover material all over the country in several bands (You can check my bio out on www.wekidsrock.com) and now I play mostly music for small children and their parents.
When my son was 2 years old I took him to a children's music class in Media Pa, I was skeptical but soon saw how much he loved it and how he really wanted to go to the class each week. He got so much out of it and we really had fun together. It turned out that I knew one of the teachers from playing in area bands and she offered me a part time job teaching the classes. I was really excited to do it especially after seeing the reaction in my 2 year old.
A few years later I started my own program called We Kids Rock for small children and parents. Along with doing the classes I recorded 3 CDs of original and traditional children's songs arranged in classic rock ‘n’ roll styles, (rhythm and blues, punk. reggae just to name a few). I had a wonderful time working on them and got to play and record with many great musicians. Some I knew already and some I met through recording the material. The CDs were a huge hit with the kids and parents. We won 3 national awards and got some really nice reviews. I'm working on a new cd now.

Our main goal is to play the songs from our CDs live and put on the best show that we can for kids and families.
In addition to the songs on the cds. well play songs by the Beatles Bruce Springsteen, Michael Franti and even the Black Keys. We love it when the kids get to see their parents have a little fun.
