Bio

I have been writing, recording and performing music for many years. Most of that has been for various bands I have been in, solo projects, and writing and performing for other artists. Recently, however, I have been focussing on creating instrumental music intended to be used in films, television or even computer games.

Having moved to a new flat where I have just converted one of the rooms into a music studio, I am now able to produce atmospheric, ethereal, professional sounding music. My years of practise and aiming for perfection have allowed me to learn mixing and mastering techniques independently, and my ability to play instruments such as guitar, drums and piano have enabled me to be flexible and experimental in my approach.

I am inspired by a wide range of artists from different genres. Particularly, for my instrumental music, I am inspired by great film score composers such as Hanz Zimmer, Marc Streitenfeld, Alexandre Desplat, Jonny Greenwood and David Wingo. A few of my favourite film soundtracks by these composers include There Will Be Blood, Inception, Take Shelter and The Tree of Life. From a more electronic, synth-based perspective I admire the works of Jon Hopkins, Trent Reznor, Rick Smith and Cliff Martinez.
