Bio
Michal is an accidental musician, really.
Sure she's been playing guitar around the campfire since she was a kid, but it was not until November 2011 that her own songs began to emerge.
After years of traveling and learning, Michal decided to create enough space last autumn to integrate these formative experiences. While reading through old notes and journals, she picked up her guitar and began to put ideas to music. The theme of Crossing Imaginary Lines, or challenging limitations, soon became clear.
In March 2012, four months and ten songs later, Michal performed her debuted concert to a large audience of friends, family and other fans. There she announced the Crossing Imaginary Lines Slow Album Release, for which she would release a song each month from April to December 2012 as a free download.
Michal is as much influenced by musicians of integrity like Bill Withers and Ma Muse as by her studies of yoga, which influence lyrics, breath and space for silence in songs. Audiences consistently comment on Michal's graceful, engaging stage presence and how relaxed and inspired they feel at the end of the show. She is grateful to have found this creative expression and is honored to be able to share it with others.
