Bio
Wendi met Jesus Christ when she was 17 years old. It was then that she experienced His personal call on her life to spread the Christian Gospel of Jesus Christ through music.
The songs that she writes reflect the yearning desire of the human spirit to know its Creator. In the same way her lyrics reflect God's desire to pour out His love upon His children and creation. This love remains unmatched.
As a pastor's wife, a business woman, teacher, mother, daughter, sister and friend, she has experienced life with and without total reliance on God. "To write, speak and sing about God's faithfulness is my reason for living," says Wendi.
While attending college, Wendi traveled with numerous college summer bands ministering in Gospel crusades, prisons and conventions. In 1981, she graduated from Bethany Bible College in Scotts Valley, California with a BA in Multiple Subjects, a BS in Ministerial Sciences with a Minor in Religious Education. She returned to Bethany in 1983, to complete and receive her California State Teaching Credential.
Her marraige to an ordained minister in 1986 plunged her into the Pastoral Ministry where she learned the joys of supporting and nurturing the body of Christ on a daily basis.
In 1988, her independent debut album, "WHO AM I", was released to over 160 radio stations both nationally and internationally. Many of which played her AC hit from Psalms 21, "Ascribe to the Lord", her Inspirational title cut, "Who Am I", her Novelty acoustic and percussion song, "The Say", and her thought provoking Inspirational, "Reach Out".
Wendi has served as the Worship Leader in both of their Pastorates and traveled to the Philippines in 2001 for a 16 day Evangelistic Crusade. It is there that her music and testimony was very instrumental in reaching a harvest of over 5,000 souls for Jesus Christ. She will be returning this year with a team from Fresno, California to continue on the Great Commission.
In addition to songwriting, singing and recording, she enjoys public speaking, acting, teaching, strength training, swimming and raising horses.
