Werewolf Therewolf bills itself as a Dallas-Fort Worth band, but the quintet is a Denton metal outfit that lays typical vomit-voice vocals over surprisingly crisp, tight guitar and drum flak. Werewolf Therewolf plays the Boiler Room today. Hailing from the musical playground of Denton, TX, Werewolf Therewolf are committed to keeping the DFW rock scene fresh. "Loud and relatively complex, the songs of Werewolf Therewolf feature a nice, tongue-in-cheek dose of humor and humility" describes Darryl Smyers from the Dallas Observer.
The band formed in 2008 and has worked relentlessly since then. Werewolf Therewolf self released an 8 track EP, “Therecastle,” in February 2010 that is currently available on iTunes. Therecastle unifies brutal metal, abstract ambience, and bear attacks into a flawless masterpiece. Rock solid drums provide a solid platform for genius melodies and vocal layering but they manage to keep it fresh with unpredictable time signatures and surprising chord changes.
Werewolf Therewolf will be in the studio in the beginning of 2011 recording with their new vocalist. With this EP the band plans to stick to their implusive grooves and add some more tuneful lyrics.
