"We Roll Like Madmen - Who is Heady Crystals?"

"There is something so organic about WRLM’s digital earth-real sound, you don’t just hear it, you feel the beat. [...] The movement is tribal in every sense of the word. So let go of the mind and let the music flow through you as you listen and dance to the highly visual We Roll Like Madmen." - Indie Music Reviewer

"[Show Review] TV Girl w/ We Roll Like Madmen at The Radio Room"

"I could see and hear Young fighting his vocal limits to convey the weight of his lyrics over Tollack’s equally heavy beats. I felt just as emotionally spent as physically." - Scene SC

Bio

2013 is shaping up to be a big year for We Roll Like Madmen. So far, in addition to completing their first national tour across the Midwest, they have appeared as the featured artists of Charleston Fashion Week and recently released a session with Daytrotter Studios. The act is currently working on an EP to be released later this year followed by a tour.

Chris Tollack and Jordan Young had each fostered budding bedroom producer projects before creatively colliding in the fitting setting of their college radio station WSBF FM Clemson. There they consumed massive troves of new releases, developing a deep appreciation for intelligent, electronically conceived music. Once they set their minds on collaboration, they quickly grew into a local phenomenon with their sights set on becoming a Southern staple.

We Roll Like Madmen have acted as a conduit for independent touring acts passing through South Carolina. They gained notoriety for their rowdy Clemson house shows attended by hundreds as well as their simulcasted TV/radio program Live Sessions, featuring studio performances by the likes of Toro Y Moi among other prominent artists. 2012 saw the release of WRLM's debut album Who is Heady Crystals? along with exclusive remixes of Southeastern acts. Paired with a dedicated regional touring schedule, the act has earned a place for themselves as curators and creators of the Southeast.
