"MC Hammer"

October 5, 2011 marks the day when TheFADER.com posted not one, but two MC Hammer-inspired rap songs. And neither of them were by Rick Ross. Wes Nyle is from Los Angeles and with "MC Hammer" he pushes his elastic jerk rap cadences into almost hard pronounced Eminem territory. - The Fader (Magazine)

Bio

Born On August 2, 1989 in Glendale, CA, Wes grew up in a very diverse community.  Wes spent the majority of his wonder years in Pasadena/South Central with his mother, who was well aware of her and her son’s surroundings.  Sports kept Wes out of the rising trouble and gangs of South Central but it was the “Arts” that held a special place in his heart.

“I was always a real ‘arts’ kind of kid,” says Wes.  “I would draw, paint, graffiti, I also did acting.”

But Wes caught an incurable affection when he listened to Hip-Hop for the first time.  He was introduced to Hip-Hop through an older sister who was found blasting the music from her room daily.  Between Snoop Dogg, Pac, No Limit and Eminem, Wes was enamored by the honesty, rawness and authenticity of the genre.  By the age of 14, Wes dedicated his life to Hip-Hop.

“I always loved music as young as one year old, my parents say,” states Wes.  “If it was the weekend I would be on the computer for hours trying to make beats.  For Christmas, I would always ask for CDs or stereo players.  I realized it was something I wanted to spend my life doing.”

At the age of 15, Wes started sharing his music through the Internet.  The emcee sold his music on iTunes and started to generate a cult following.  8 years later and Wes has garnered 13,000,000+ views on the popular video streaming site, YouTube.  Being one of the founding members of the Jerk movement – a popular dance in Southern California –Wes started to get noticed on a higher level.  In 2011, Fader Magazine featured his Jerk inspired song, “M.C. Hammer” on their Daily Download Stream.  In 2013, Wes embarked on a 30-city “Clash of the Titans” tour with The Alkaholiks and DJ Heron to further extend his fanbase.

“I am always looking to be innovative and not afraid to try new things with my art,” explains Wes about his growing success.  “I see a lot of people following others and that’s not what I am doing.  A lot of people try to rush into the game and I realized that’s not how you ‘STAY’ in the game.  I’m bringing my own.  I’m taking my time and not rushing myself into this game.  It’s my passion, not just a hobby.”

Wes’ passion is paving the way for the young California emcee.  With his debut EP,  and New Single "Grant Hill". Wes has no plans of sleeping or being slept on for that matter.

“I am going to seize every moment and let it become my reality rather than just a dream,” proclaims Wes.  “Stay awake.”
