"OffBeat Magazine"

"A 'feel good' CD with a little bit of everything for the smooth jazz/R&B/urban contemporary aficionado. Wes has a full, richly textured voice that at times, sounds like Jerry Butler, especially on the slow, plaintive love songs, of which there are several good examples. There is a soulful, moving version of "End Of The Road" that does justice to the Ken "Babyface" Edmunds composition that was a breakout hit for Boyz 2 Men in the mid-90's. Raymond's treatment of Sly Stone's "If You Want Me 2 Stay" features some of the best vocals and horn work on the disc. This CD is a solid piece of work."

"INDIE"

Singer, songwriter, and producer Wes Raymond has been on the music scene for over 30 years. A constant draw at local venues in and around the New Orleans area, Wes has produced his frist commercial release, Can U Feel It. Wes' urgent gut-wrenching deliveries and smooth velvet refrains coalesce to create the most soulful of sounds. Can U Feel It, draws heavily from a diverse array of muscial styles starting with the Latin flavored Get Up(Can U Feel It), moving to the funky, soulful, If You Want Me 2 Stay, to the jazzy, Deep Inside Your Love. This CD covers the gambit. - INDIE Music Publisher

Bio

With the release of CAN U FEEL IT in 2001, Wes set into motion events that had always eluded him. It was the start of taking control of his music's direction, content, and future. This year saw the release for commercial sale of two live performances in New Orleans, where Wes is based. Having been well received at 2002's Cutting Edge Music conference also established the fact that Wes has a considerable fan base. Sales of 2001's "CAN U FEEL IT" have also taken off in Japan, Wales, and Germany. The single "Tonight" is in rotatation on several radio stations around the country as well. Wes has also formed a new original music band (FUNK2) that is taking off in the classic New Orleans' funk direction set by such bands as the Meters, and Neville Bros. An example of one of those songs is included in this kit.
