Long Story Short...
The West Coast Pinups formed during the wanning days of 1995 in San Diego after finding country music as a last refuge for their own down- trodden rock 'n roll souls-- Thank God for Merle, George, Buck, and Lefty. The heart and soul of the band relocated to Austin in 2006 with the promise to carry on the rude ways of their forefathers with a breath of new life.
With the addition of Jeremy "Smokebreak" Slemenda (White Ghost Shivers) on lead guitar, Chris Crepps (Shotgun Party) on rhythm guitar, and the reunion of Honky Tonk Angel Cella Blue (White Ghost Shivers), the band went into the studio in late '07 with Grammy award winning producer Joe McGrath at the helm. The soon-to-be released "Last Call Confessions" sessions are what materialized.
The band's versatility lies in the ability to play the smallest Texas honky-tonks, to the biggest concert halls in the world. Loved by two-steppers and rock-and-rollers alike, the Pinups have earned the ironic title of "The Most Hated Band in Honky-Tonk".

WCP are currently shopping labels and distributors. "Last Call Confessions" will be completed in Oct. '08.
