"First Night - Salt Lake City"

"We, and the audience, throughly enjoyed listening and watching you perform. You were absolutely superb! Your energy and enthusiasm really caught the essence of the festive atmosphere we were hoping for."

"Your performance truly helped to make the evening a success."
- Temple Square Performances

"Francis Frontier Days"

"The Francis Frontier Days kept the western mood throughout the weekend... Steve and Rhondalee Paskins, Kevan Paul, and Ed Moss entertained throughout the Saturday evening with cowboy songs and western music that kept the crowds tapping their toes and clapping for an encore throughout the night. As the BBQ was served, the entertainment continued with their contemporary cowboy-western-folk-bluegrass music." - Francis, UT newspaper

Bio

Western Shadows takes contemporary folk and western swing to a new dynamic. Original songs and covers from Asleep At the Wheel, Dave Stamey, Jack Hanna, Curly Musgrave, and other folk song writers are interpreted and arranged to sound bold and fresh. The performance is energetic and dynamic - not "sleepy-time" folk music!

Western Shadows has played across the western United States from San Francisco to Cody, Wyoming. There is nothing stereotypical about the arrangements and styles of the instrumentalists, and each song is selected or written with a "story" embedded in the lyrics. This takes the audience on a journey to the "west", whether there has been a real or imagined experience of the "west" for the audience members.

Western Shadows has performed for many concert halls, rodeo openings, town celebrations, private parties, conventions, school educational programs, and cultural centers.
