Bio

It all started in 2008 in San Francisco, when twin brothers Dakota and Travis White decided to start a rock band. Considering music was their strongest passion in life it was a no brainer for the two…but how? When? Who? Ah yes, those countless hours of performing in jazz bands, Dakota’s endless impressions of Red Hot Chili Peppers’ bass god Flea, Travis’ furious YouTube replays of drummer Carter Beauford’s solos in Dave Matthews Band, they knew the only way it would work was if they could find a group of talented musicians with the same amount of passion and drive they had. They knew they needed help, so they called on mad scientist, keyboard engineer and production wizard Rajeev Naidu who's major influences are Coldplay and Linkin Park. Knowing no rock band is complete without a heavy shredding lead guitar, they brought in a dangerous monk influenced by Muse named Jensen Pang, who was sitting with other local Bay Area bands at the time. As Westline Drive began to take form, the only thing left was to find a messenger…with three years of attempts to find a lead vocalist along with developing three-hour instrumental sets for The Tempest and Winters Tavern, the band had had enough!..until one fateful day in 2013, by work of some black magic spell, Dakota stumbled upon mysterious sorceress Michole Chanel, based in LA and skilled in the telepathic arts, the written verse, and the banshee scream. Yes! Accustomed to traveling the world for inspiration and rhythms to complement her Santigold and M.I.A. playlists, she agreed to join the caravan on one condition: “what is your MISSION?” Westline Drive decided:

To move, to motivate, and to inspire.
To find fans who want damn good live music as a rule, not an exception.
To make a living changing the culture of rock, with an international influence and a universal sound. The traditional rock band is a forgotten art in today's music industry. Westline Drive is determined to bring that element back to music with superior instrumentation and a real message.
