Whales On Land
Unbelievable melodic arrangements subtle overtones and powerhouse vocals, Whales On Land proves that when you work hard and love what you do anything is possible. It’s rare that such young musicians actually gel so well. These kids are serious about what they do and it shows! These guys pack a powerful punch of killer licks and in your face riffs that will leave you stunned.
Musically, their influences range from the Beatles to Bob Marley, sublime and many more. There range is no one influence that can be attached to the band save maybe Reggae, they love the sound. It’s all up for grabs and Whales on Land is out to prove that they can hang with the best of them.
We have on Keyboard and vocals, Iriel Cooper 16 years old she attends Las Vegas Academy majoring in Piano. Lead Guitar and vocals, Elijah Cooper 15 years old and attends Las Vegas Academy majoring in Classical guitar. Rhythm and lead guitar we have Josh Hobkirk 16 years old he attends Las Vegas Academy his major is Drums. On Base and Sax is Daniel Gallegos 17, again he is attending Las Vegas Academy majoring in Jazz Band, Sax of course. Last but not lease is Ben Jones 17 years old drum major was attending LVA but now he is going to Cheyenne HS.
