Bio

The tale of Whatever Fits begins in 2002 when guitarist Craig Hyatt decided he wanted to make music his life. Since then it has evolved into a rock machine. The current line up is fronted by vocalist James Durbin, guitarist Craig Hyatt, drummer Kyle Malone, and bassist Paul Mestice. Their drive and dedication throughout the years has seen them to ever growing heights.
Whatever Fits has battled their way through adversity time and time again, but are united by a common dream; each member is driven to succeed and make music their life. Due to this commonality they are not just a great band, but great friends. The past year has proven their dedication to music and each other. In September of 2008, the band got the news that their drummer Kyle's mom had passed away after a long bout with cancer. The rest of the band opted to cancel the show, but Kyle wouldn't let that happen, so they had their friend Paul Mestice sit in on drums, (who would later become their permanent bassist). In April of 2009 the band welcomed singer James Durbin's newborn son, Hunter into the world.
Despite every member holding down a full-time job, Craig going to school full-time, and James on daddy duty, they have managed to build up a following in the south bay area with fans scattered throughout the world, achieve national radio play, and receive recognition as a band and individually after competing and placing in the Your Music Magazine Olympicks. There is much more in the future for this quartet of rockers that are always united by their drive for perfection and professionalism.
