Bio

Growing up grass roots is something we all had in common living our whole lives in the Midwest. Learning how to be grounded is something they teach you before you can walk, and our story is no different. Hailing just south of big time Chicago, Joe and I spent a few years together in junior high not really best friends, but socializing in the same circles nonetheless. As an avid choir member, I began singing with hopes set high on being a star at the ripe age of 10. It was right around this time that Joe was taken to his first concert by his Aunt Sharon and from that point on had no doubt about what path he would pursue. We entered separate high schools with no more than a glance in the other’s directions and that was that.

Joe met Dan early on in his high school career. Dan, hugely influenced by his dad’s legendary favorite, Bob Marley, was already a music buff and his tastes quickly melded with Joe’s. With their chemistry and passion for music evident, they grabbed a few of their other talented friends and started the band Dizzle. The boys started in classic form playing parties and garages until their talent began to gain a substantial fan base. In Dizzle, Dan made his singing debut and quite a splash as the boys played all the classic Chicago hot spots, including The Metro and The Double Door, and finally scored the attention of some producers and booking agents. Meanwhile, I finished my high school career and my college career in and out of a few insignificant bands and a few musicals, no closer to grasping any dream and finally retiring from music at the old age of 23, grounded in my reality.

In order to help out an old friend, Joe and Dan agreed to host an open Mic Night once a week at the Litsa Lounge in Homer Glen, IL. By chance I was there visiting a good friend and Joe and Dan were there playing and they snapped me right out of my 6 months of retirement and onto the stage. Joe, Dan and I struck up an easy friendship, and the rest is, as they say, history.

Dan, Joe, and I began writing and performing together, steadily, from that point on. The words and music flowed almost hastily through our fingertips and our vocal chords in a way that none of us had previously experienced. We had amazing chemistry and energy that brought life back into all of our careers, our hopes, our dreams, and our audiences. So, with our dreams in hand, shirking our early notions of being grounded, we reached for the stars and ended up here in Hollywood searching for a way to reach other people with the words and music that breathed life back into our bodies.

The thing about us is that we aren’t the same if you separate us from the music. We eat, sleep, and breathe the music. So perseverance to us is really just survival. And we are only here to excite you to take that ride with us. We are Whatever’s Left Standing…
