From Gosport Hampshire..My god I really didnt think anything good apart from the exit road could emerge from Gosport but how wrong I am.. What Is Life for ? not so much a question mark for a name of a band but a statement for the sheer presentation and delivery of their fine performance.. Blasting out a 45 min set with tight and fluid performances from the vocalist and guitars. Up-rising tempo's and rally cry sounds that left you wanting more a lot more from this very much under rated act... Tight and concise drums and bass powerhousing the backline as the 2 guitars drove the front end deep into the crowd at the Ship. We have had some very good ''out of towners'' in The Ship as recent and all very good too but I will say this the hard to please crowd that is The Ship's hardend Audience gave it up in whistles and cheers for every tune the guys gave them..very encouraging ..so encouraging even Dean the landlord decided there and then to bring the Gosport crew back for a re-match to play on the 24th April as a part of the ''ALL WEEKENDER'' Ship Fest..(try saying that when your pissed)...So well done WHAT IS LIFE FOR..No doubt we will be reviewing your good sound again soon.. In the mean time wanna go and see a good live act that compliments their fine recorded sound ?..Go see WHAT IS LIFE FOR?..and be amazed !!

Bio
what is life for? have been together since March 2007. They are a four piece alternative rock band from the south coast of England. They take diverse influences from bands such as Incubus, System of a Down, Green Day, Foo Fighters and many more.
Unable to be put into any specific genre, what is life for? have been described as “Incubus jamming with the Chillis whilst the Foo Fighters and Billy Talent have noisy sex in the corner!” (DJ Wil Chump.....dj of the year 2007).
what is life for? have shared the stage with many bands across the country and 2009 has been a very busy year with planning for a mini tour underway for 2010.
Initially managed by themselves, they now have on board Mark Tutton, who by his own admission is an “ageing punk rocker with a passion for music”. Mark has taken over a lot of the day to day management and promotional issues leaving the band free to write and record their material.
