When Gravity Fails have been making big waves of late, not least because of their coursing Southern ‘n’ grunge tinged rock unarguably like the real deal, despite the fact that this 5 piece hail from London, but also because
there is an urgency and experimental edge that makes most of their trend-chasing contemporaries sound just that more desperate.
This free to download EP showcases the band’s range without diluting their identity. Driven by Ivan Fegen’s mightily impressive hickory-roasted vocals, it still seeks out darkened areas of the psyche as it packs an
emotional unsanctimonious punch.

WHEN GRAVITY FAILS – Born Again (Astro:Nought) – Born again? Well the London five piece have certainly taken it up a notch or two with their finest release yet. Those mountainous riffs, edgy alternative hard rock that’s part Killing Joke darkness, part Soundgarden riff building, part Pulkas punching and part something all of their own. When Gravity Fails have been doing it rather well since 2005, this is serious stuff, these people have done their time, you don’t get to be this good overnight. Serous alternative hard rock from the London town undergrowrth.

When Gravity Fails are a London based 5 piece, formed in 2005.
In 2006 the band released their highly acclaimed self titled debut album on their own Astro:Nought Recordings label. It immediately picked up a 4K review in Kerrang, 8/10 in Rock Sound and was highly praised in Metal Hammer and Burn magazines. Both Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson and Black Sabbath's Toni Iommi have given the album a lot
of airplay on their radio shows. Also Ian Camfield from K.Rock/ XFM London was the first to recognize the cool heaviosity of the band and has been playing When Gravity Fails right from their earliest demos.
In 2007 Eddy Temple Morris of XFM selected the band for Coke music's pod casts and chose the track Headlight to appear on Coke's first unsigned compilation UK:ONE. He hit the rock-nail right on the head when he described the band as "Balls to the wall proper rock and roll".
When Gravity Fails have played Germany’s Rock Am Ring festival at the invite of Coke Music/ Itunes. Also Coke Music picked the track Headlight as the music for their summer internet ad campaign as seen on the Kerrang, Rock Sound and Drowned in Sound music sites amongst others.
In 2008 the band recorded a new EP “Born Again” with producer John Mitchell (Enter Shikari, Funeral for a Friend) and earlier this year 2009, Metal Hammer Magazine picked a track for the magazine’s free cd.
