Bio
Whippoorwillow formed in early 2015 and quickly began playing across central NY. They are best known for their 3-part harmonies and sets that are full of surprises. Fans appreciate the range of styles that they incorporate, from well-known and expected bluegrass covers, originals that exude familiarity, to classic and alternative rock songs performed in a bluegrass style.
Each member brings a unique influence to the overall sound. Matt Fabrizio brings a lot of blues to his guitar playing, Andy Knapp shows his roots as a rock guitarist, Rita Bliss keeps it traditional with her clawhammer banjo, and Audrey Moss is well-grounded in her training as a classical up-right bassist.
