Bio

For 4 decades, Duncan Fremlin and his all star band Whiskey Jack have been performing their unique brand of Canadian country/roots/folk/bluegrass music across North America. In the 1980's, they were featured weekly on CBC TV's Tommy Hunter Show.   Each Friday night, Canadian music legend Stompin' Tom Connors would turn on the TV and watch Whiskey Jack's segment (The Ol' Back Porch).  Along with 2 million of his fellow Canadians, he became an avid Whiskey Jack fan, enjoying their humour and amazing musicianship.  When Stompin' Tom resumed his career after a 13 years hiatus from the industry, he called Duncan Fremlin, Whiskey Jack's leader and invited him to collaborate with him in the studio to record the acclaimed album,  "Dr. Stompin' Tom... Eh?".  Stompin' Tom and Whiskey Jack would continue to perform and record often together until Tom's death in 2014.    Those years with Stompin' Tom were the seeds that blossomed into the show they tour with today, Stories & Songs of Stompin' Tom.
