Whiskey Brown may possibly one of the best bands we have heard in the history of time. The vocals are nothing less than amazing, the songs are energetic, catchy and dead-on. Musically, this band is outstanding! The only thing we would change about this band is the fact that we haven't heard of them sooner! - Demo Critique

"I love me some Whiskey Brown! I was excited to meet these fine lookin' young men when they came by the station for their single release of "Southern Nature", but when they started playin' and singin'and interviewing live on the radio with just acoustic guitars, I was an instant fan! These boys are pros and they can do it all, plugged and unplugged!" - Dawn Dale KFAN 107.5FM Fredericksburg, Texas

"OK, I had the CD for a week before their show. Loved it right away, but found myself wondering if they can do it live or is it another studio magic Nashville band. At the end of their set I found myself on my feet with the other 400+ people wanting more. What a SHOW, maybe even better than the album!" - Hank Moon - Program Director

"I've been around the music business for 30 years, seen everything from rock to disco and country come and go. These WHISKEY BROWN boys are well on their way to making music history!" - Jay Boy Adams CEO/Musician

"I.ve known JR and some of the boys for several years. I knew they were good, but I've been blown away with their album and their kick-ass live show. Go get'em boys, make Uncle Dex proud!" - Bill Poindexter Program Director Chattanooga, Tenn.

"Whiskey Brown did a great job in an early set at the Big State Festival. Their scrappy Southern rock tunes and bar-band vibe started the day off just right."

Bio

Comprised of six immensely talented musicians from diverse musical backgrounds, Whiskey Brown is strong stuff. A sound melded together by the fire of shared purpose, forged steel hard on stage in biker bars and honky tonks and sharpened to razor's edge in the studio, Whiskey Brown is ready to intoxicate the world. Make no mistake, this the real deal. Unlike so many manufactured faux country rock bands, these guys can actually play live what has been recorded in the studio. They live, breathe and sometimes even drink it, with ear candy harmonies, fiery instrumentation, and soul to burn. They can do it electric and wild, kickin' up some dust in an arena, roadhouse or beer joint, loud and proud, with searing guitars and greasy, fat power cords. And they can do it unplugged, loose and juicy, subtle and powerful, back porch style. They write from the heart. They surely know how to connect with a song. When Whiskey Brown sings about what makes this country great on their stirring anthem "That's American", it doesn't reek of contrived flag-waving, but rather roars like a muscle car, soars like an eagle, honors without patronizing. Not many bands could pull it off. The innuendo filled "Caught Peekin'" is perhaps a little dirty, and the band brings fierce bravado to the rarely heard Barefoot Servants chestnut "Better Off Dead". Then there is the soon to be classic "Southern Nature", a swampy mid-tempo that politely tips a hat to what makes Southern women easy to love. Few bands have the balls to cover the Allman Brothers, but few bands are Whiskey Brown. Their soul drenched cover of "Soulshine" is an obvious and reliable crowd pleaser live, with this band paying homage while leaving their own mark on a classic cut. Whiskey Brown delivers with vigor and ferocity, but the band is made up of Southern gentlemen. They know how to treat women, kids and dogs. These boys act right on stage. You can bring your Granny to a show, if she's got a sense of humor and likes to get rowdy!
