Biography

We're the ultimate alcohol-selling, rabble-rousing southern-fried party rock band!

Called "The Soundtrack to the American Buzz!", "funky-tonk" & "world-a-billy" among other things, the Whiskey Rodeo live show is up to 4 hours of well polished mayhem!

We just completed an insane 11-state tour all across the American South/Southwest!
We've rocked through CA, AZ, NM, TX, OK, KS, MS, MO, AR, MI & LA ...and we're ready to get back out on the road again!

Whiskey Rodeo has opened for Edgar Winter, Taylor Dayne, Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers, Sophie B. Hawkins, The Bellamy Brothers, Jody Watley, Crystal Waters, among many others.

The balance of strong musicianship and ROWDY stage show is one reason why Whiskey Rodeo was voted 'Flagstaff's Rowdiest Band' by FlagLive readers in 2008 & 2009.

So hold on to your knickers... Whiskey Rodeo is comin' to blast a crater through a stage near you!

100 Miles

Written By: Francescon/Carpini

100 miles
V:Just a hundred miles to the border,
stomp the throttle grab my forty five
I killed a man just south of Sonora
gotta make the river before day light
gotta make the river before day light

V: Just fifty miles to the border
got red lights and sirens behind
to a cage made of bars, bricks, and mortar
they ain't gonna take me alive
no they ain't gonna take me alive

C: O lord please forgive me I know Ive forsaken thee
ride with the devil tonight
I ride with the devil tonight

V: Just ten more miles to the border
and the bullets begin to fly
they got a desperate man backed in a corner
they're bout to see my will to survive
see this outlaws will to survive

C:

V: One more mile to the border
the bloods runnin into my eyes
there's a pain like a fire in my shoulder
I cast one last prayer to the sky
just one last prayer to the sky

C: And its....

Vamp: Hundred miles, fifty mile, ten more miles,
I only had one more mile.

Meant to Be

Written By: Francescon

Meant To Be

Ever since I was younger I thought about my life
Would I ever be a singer would I ever see the light
Now that I am older I’ve come to realize
It’s all about the journey, It ain’t about the prize

Baby lay next to me and maybe
We’ll finally see
What this world is made of
And what we’re meant to be

Just before he left me Daddy gave me some advise
He said “Always stand up straight boy
Always look ‘em in the eyes.
Mamma was the one thing that got me through hard times
She said “smile for them girls boy, they don’t like it when you lie”

Baby lay next to me and maybe
We’ll finally see
What this world is made of
And what we’re meant to be

I’ve had my share of heartaches I’ve walked a twisted road
I’ve been sheltered by the sunshine, been left out in the cold
The one thing I am sure of is heaven up above
But will it ever grant me the life I’m dreaming of

Baby lay next to me and maybe
We’ll finally see
What this world is made of
And what we’re meant to be

Gypsy Woman

Written By: Francescon

Gypsy

Gypsy woman let me in your heart
I’ll be closer to heaven with you in my arms
I’ll pin this wish on a falling star
Let me love you deeply forever more

Won’t you let me love you
Won’t you let me love you

Let me love you
My gypsy woman

With warmth and passion your heart I’ll mend
Caress your body with gentle hands
By your side I’ll forever stand
Let me love you deeply let me be your man

Won’t you let me love you
Won’t you let me love you

Let me love you
My gypsy woman

Let me love you
Oh my gypsy woman

When you drown in darkness I’ll be the light
We’ll make sweet music under star lit skies
I see my future dancing in your eyes
I will love you deeply for all my life

If you would let me love you
Won’t you let me love you

Let me love you
Oh my gypsy woman

Blood Sweat & Tears

Written By: Francescon

Blood, Sweat, and Tears

V: This is a call to the bankers bean counters and the men on top of the hill
You’ve forgotten the faces of the men and women that make your dreams become real
So buy us a beer at the bar tonight for our hard work blood sweat and tears

V: Made your millions off our calloused hands but your still keeping down a
hardworkin man built your palace off our broken backs but our sons are drafted when your under attack

PC: We fix your lexus and we fight your wars and we truck in all that you need
A poor mans revolution begins from the rich mans greed

C: Talkin ‘bout hard work blood sweat and tears
Ohohoo hard work blood sweat and tears
Buy us a beer at the bar tonight for our hard work blood sweat and tears

V: Walk a mile in these working mans boots swing a hammer get back to your roots
Feed your family from sweat and back pain spend a day on a tractor get out in the rain

C: Talkin bout hard work blood sweat and tears, whoa hard work blood sweat and tears, so buy us a beer a the bar tonight for our hard work blood sweat and tears.

V: Pull your nose down from outta the sky we all put our pants on one leg at a time
Shot of Jim Beam our Cuervo’d be fine lets talk it over some salt and a lime

PC: We dont want riches and were proud of our scars and we dont mind sewing the seeds The American Revolution was born from taxes and greed.

The Bull Riders Theme

V: Aim the headlights toward New Mexico, the rodeo fever won't let go
his heart start poundin as he climbs inside, it's the single greatest moment of his life.

C: Welcome y'all to the deadliest eight second show on dirt.
I said welcome y'all to the deadliest eight second show on dirt.

V: There ain't much changed since the days of old, cowboy's make their livin on the road.
From zero to hero in the blink of an eye, seize the glory cowboy stick that ride.

C:

Bridge: His woman begs him "Baby come on home, won't you lead the life less risky, cause some of them bulls have killed more cowboys than cigarettes and whiskey".

V: As the spotlight burns he tips his hat to the crowd,
The pain and heartbreak all seem worth it now
Gold buckles, broke knuckles no remorse no regret
He chased the devil down the razors edge.

Set List

Whiskey Rodeo performs original music and several unique covers. (In all honesty: We like to f**k up cover songs.. Think bluegrass versions of Queen, Hank Williams Jr., off-color lyrics to AC/DC, and smash-ups of Billy Jean & Pink Floyd... We're fearless!)

Whiskey Rodeo can handle a full night's celebration as easily as we can tear up a festival stage or a showcase set.

While the Whiskey Rodeo show is well suited to an 'R' rated environment, we are just as natural as a PG show.

Whiskey Rodeo takes pride in tailoring the set to fit well with any headliner or event theme.

We RULE!!
