Whiskey Sunday

Whiskey Sunday has been rockin’ the likes of Southern California for the last three years. The hit group averages around 50 gigs a year throughout California. Gigs can be as long as 3-4 hours with the group’s original music as well as many covers from bands like The Pogues, Flogging Molly, CCR, Dropkick Murphy’s, The Waterboys, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Mumford and Sons, Shovels and Rope, as well as traditional Irish music and tunes. Their debut album, “Holy Water” has been positively reviewed by major sources in California, as well as the east coast and Germany. The band was recently featured on 95.5 KLOS, one of the most prominent radio stations in Los Angeles, on their “Stay or Go” program-where they were interviewed and unanimously voted to “STAY!” The band also was asked to play the 2015 Special Olympics which Los Angeles hosted and will return for a second time this fall to the “Get Shamrocked” festival which features the biggest Irish bands in the world. Whiskey Sunday is Patrick Rieger on guitar and bodhran, Deidre Moore on harp and harmonica, JR Nutt on banjo and mandolin, and Olivia Sandoval on upright bass. The band also features multiple fiddle players. They released two music videos in 2015 which can be found on their youtube page. Whiskey Sunday will bring the lake house out in any Irish American folk lover. Music that asks you to pour something single malt, sit on the porch, and sip reverently.
