"The Whisky Jax"

Another brilliant showing from one of Peterboroughs favorite electronica rock bands, sees their recently adapted line-up triumph.
Frontman James takes up the mantle on guitar but loses none of his showmanship as they produce arguably their best performance to date. Thumping dance rock songs get the crowd moving and the best of their tracks rival anything you might hear in this genre you might hear in todays charts.
Slowing the set down midway displayed confidence, but the risk sacrificed some of their momentum , although this in now way detracted from a highly impressive headlining perfomance. - Art and soul magazine

Bio

Whisky Jax are an innovative and captivating quintet from Peterborough who produce unique and catchy new music with a funk/electro feel, taking inspiration from bands such as Foals, Hurts and Fenech-Soler.

With confidence and charisma, they produce an exhilarating and memorable live performance. Front man James Izzo is a vastly experienced singer and guitarist, whilst brother Josh Izzo is a top-level industry trained drummer and percussionist. The band is completed by classically trained pianist Andrew Brindley on synths/electronics, highly accomplished musician Adam Tucker on bass and ex "I only date models" guitarist Michael Meadows.

Early in 2011 the band were selected by BBC Introducing to attend a masterclass for upcoming bands at Abbey Road/Maida Vale studios. The band have had ongoing interest and support from local and national media, gained valuable experience on the London circuit (Purple Turtle, Monto Water Rats, Punk Club, 229 Clubs, etc) in connection with FeedMe Music, and have previously had the pleasure of recording a music video with the Jools Holland production team.

Whisky Jax have an established and rapidly growing fanbase, with an average age range of 16-30. The Whisky Jax sound is recollectable from your first hearing, and having made the band their full-time focus (living and working together daily), they are a very marketable young band with a predictable bright and successful future ahead
