White Cherries

''WHITE CHERRIES'' is an emerging music duo that brings a modern twist to the band members influences growing up, a fusion of folk, rock and electronic music that they brand as Folktronica. The band consists of producer/guitarist Abie Toiber and vocalist/lyricist Fernanda Romero. The two met in Los Angeles, having both come from Mexico City, and bonded over their passion for music and creativity.

Toiber started playing music as a teenager in Mexico and later studied guitar at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. He has released 3 independent albums under his label Toca75. In the past he has collaborated with the electropop band Morbo, as well as Coma a band he formed in the 90’s and released one album with EMI Mexico.

Fernanda Romero started her singing career at the age of 16, signed to BMG with her band Fryzzby. After touring the world performing, Romero turned back to her studies, ultimately moving to LA to begin her burgeoning career as an actress and model. Connecting with Toiber proved the proper motivation to get her back to her creative roots in music.

The White Cherries debut album is a project full of passion with amazing guest musicians and mixed by top engineer Mark Plati in NYC at his Alices Restaurant Studio.
